"My friend put it best... It 's a step up from Taco Bell. Maybe that sounds harsh, so let me continue. Honestly, the complimentary chips and salsa were delicious... Chips were thin and the salsa was a perfect blend between medium spicy and mild. The margaritas weren 't anything to complain about, but also nothing amazing to brag about. The small size is more of a medium size. While we had ordered Patron, it 's questionable whether that 's what we received. It was okay, but not great, despite the large size. Service was fine, though our server seemed anxious to get us served and vacate the table. Nevertheless, not inattentive, except needed reminding for extra salsa. With a more relaxed server, it would have felt more comfortable to linger a bit longer and we would have tipped accordingly given recognition that the table was occupied for longer than usual. The food... I will speak to my Burrito Texas Tornado with grilled chicken. It was mostly filled with rice and the grilled chicken was very scarce- and not in grilled pieces that I had anticipated but rather in a few squiggly pieces here and there. There was a cheese sauce on top that was along the order of a processed cheese mixture- definitely not authentic real cheese. The guacamole side was pretty good- although not the tableside guac, it was good and seemed fresh, well seasoned. Overall, there was nothing horrible, but nothing that would make my friend or me want to run back. My friend had planned to order a meal for her son there, but decided that Taco Bell would suffice- especially since the server seemed like she wanted to be rid of us. She missed out on the extra order and a better tip."

I would not recommend the food at this restaurant. However, the service was good and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Personally, I do not plan on dining here again.

Love their taquitos. They could give you individual bowls of salsa. I don't like dipping after another person and I know there are other people that feels the same.

Ordered takeout, and all of our food was extremely salty. Not sure what happened in the kitchen. The salsa was the only part of our meal not salty, and it just tasted watered-down.

Mexican food in Northwest Ohio definitely leaves something to be desired, however of all the places I've tried (and there are several) Palacio Maya has the closest quality and flavor to fresh So Cal like Mexican food. View menu

I came for the margaritas and that's exactly what I got. After a long week, I needed a pitcher of strawberry margarita and it did not disappoint. Mariah provided excellent service and the food was good. Happy Hour ends at 8, so my partner and I had a great time enjoying the cocktails.

When you first walk in, it's a fun decorated restaurant. The bar has boxes, coats, to go boxes stacked high, bar is not being used for what it was intended for. The young lady at the door was below average for friendliness. Wait staff was hard to understand. The food comes out quick. Food is below average for standard Mexican Restaurants. Margarita drink was sweeter than Aunt Bee's Tea in Tennessee. We dine out a lot but won't be returning here.

The guacamole at this restaurant is top-notch. The margaritas are pretty good as well. The service is usually fast and pleasant. The prices are reasonable. However, the food can be hit or miss. On my most recent visit, I ordered the California fish tacos expecting a certain level of quality. Unfortunately, what I received was simply shells and fish, with the expectation to add the crema salad myself. The tacos smelled and tasted unpleasant, to the point where my partner even spit out a bite. Take a look at the picture and judge for yourself - they were not appetizing or appealing. View menu

Palacia Maya has really good street tacos! We prefer the asada or the chicken. The taquitos are one of our go-to. My daughter said this is the best chicken quesadilla she has ever had, and she doesn't even care for meat. The tamales are so big, hearty, and tasty! Such a delicious comfort food! The churros are a perfect ending to a wonderful meal! We always wash it down with a refreshing jumbo margarita. The margarita mix is on point, no need to add a fruity flavoring! This is an overlooked place to dine, due to all the big name chain restaurants located around here. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Not a fan. The waitress wasn't the best. Pretty sure she ordered our food and promptly forgot about our existence . We ordered cheese dip it never came and when I said something and she brought it out see picture for what we got for $6, a sad amount. We had to ask for new chips because they gave us a basket of dark brown burnt ones with like 3 regular ones on top.The food came out 2 seconds after the cheese and was cold as was the plate it was on so I think it had just been hanging out somewhere for awhile. My margarita had a good amount of booze in it but had a weird unpleasant taste. Had our waitress been good and our food been fresh and hot this place might have pulled 3.5 stars but I can...

"Date night Saturday night. Our reservation was for 7pm, but we were falling asleep, so luckily they were able to accommodate at 6:15. : Only a few tables were occupied. Tall ceilings, nice ambiance, would have maybe liked some additional lighting such as candle light (or faux candle light . The weather outside was lovely and they opened the doors which gave way to French doors with iron railing. they were pretty! Our server mentions that the menu changes pretty frequently so we may not see on the menu what we read online. Fine by me, as you know from my reviews, I 'm always up for a food adventure. I had a gin based cocktail which tasted balanced. Spring Mushroom Mousseline, Pistachio and Drunken Fruit with Date Pecan bread. Mousseline served in a glass votive like ramekin (much like you 'd see foie , was tasty, creamy, albeit a little gritty from the pistachios. The bread came like a small loaf, almost precut (could have been sliced all the way through , with macerated cherry/cranberry compote. For a vegetarian option like foie, we were pleased and ate the entire portion. Scotch Olives with Saffron Aioli. These olives were HOT. No joke. A bit of, could you please blow on this before I burn my tongue? But, they were briny on the inside, with a perfectly coated fried crunch outside, and so yum once the heat dissipated. Nice touch on the aioli. Only 4 of them unfortunately... that 's 2.25 each! Rosemary Grilled Lamb Chops with Seedy Broccolini Salad with Cherries. Wood grilled carrots and pomegranate molasses. $39. Nice presentation. Crunchy but soft carrots, broccolini cooked perfectly. Seemed a bit on the small side as far as meat goes. Two double lollipops. Cooked perfect, and beautiful gamey taste, just not too much bang for the buck. Grilled Sturgeon, warm rice salad, fiddlehead ferns, snap peas. Not a fan of the glaze ontop, the fish portion was fine, but lackluster. I 'm a huge sucker for fiddlehead ferns, and I also know that they can be overcooked within seconds, which these were just slightly overcooked, lacked the snap in your teeth you get from a bright green cooked correctly one. Oh well. With everything in one bite, it was good, just not amazing. We shared the Mexican hot chocolate warm brownie/cake in a cup. The foam was nice, but the inside really reminded me of a fudgy cake you can buy in the grocery store, add water, and nuke in the microwave. Next time, happy to go back just for drinks and apps. Skip the more expensive main courses on their menu."
