"We were in town visiting family. Husband and I decided to try on our own on a Wednesday evening. We were seated promptly. Machela (spelling? was our waitress and extremely nice! We shared the (small eggplant sticks appetizer and the steak and cheese grinder. Everything was delicious, hot and plentiful. Decided to return the next night with my mother-in-law which was St. Patrick’s Day and Trivia. We did a repeat of the small eggplant sticks to share. Husband got the meatloaf, mashed potatoes which came with a fresh squash medley. He got extra gravy on the side and rated the meal as top notch. I ordered the cuban and tater tots. It was delicious and it is a meal that could easily be split between two. There was a corned beef special that night, which mother-in-law wanted. At first they said it was sold out, but when they recounted, our waitress quickly claimed the extra for my mother-in-law. She was thrilled. The dish came with soda bread and she thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Overall, the waitstaff and everyone else are extremely friendly. The food is hot and fresh. We will happily return next time we are in town. And we came in second on the trivia and gave the restaurant gift card to mother-in-law which she is looking forward to using."

Pomona Pete's is one of the top restaurants in the area. We have had a variety of meals there, and it has always been outstanding. The grilled cheese, calzones, and eggplant parm grinder are particularly good.

Owner invited us back after a hiccup we had with a To-Go order…We ordered the monte cristo and Cuban sandwich both of which were delicious. The service was great too.I really appreciate the effort Rob (the owner) made to redeem this hidden gem here in Unionville Connecticut.For sure will be back. Thanks again Rob!

I can't believe I found this gem so close to home. For our first time we tried a couple of pizzas. We were very happy. My wife is a Jersey girl and this brought back some great memories. The thin crust was well done and just slightly charred on the edges, just how we like it. Outstanding and can't wait to try a nice sit down meal. View menu

The effort put into making simple nachos is embarrassing. Basically chips and a few pickled jalapeños thrown with a rationed amount of cheese.The chicken cutlet was flavorless.The margarita pizza was disappointed.My issue is the lack of effort made to make this food considering the prices are above the average for simple foods.Lesson learned. Never again.

Went on a Wednesday night for karaoke. What a great crowd! Lots of good singers, so come on out and eat and drink and enjoy free entertainment! Server Kaitlyn was perfect! And Rob, one of the owners, personally brought over my drink! Wow! The karaoke jockey, Steve, is as nice as he can be. And so is Joy at the bar! Definitely recommend Pomona Pete's, especially on Wednesday for karaoke night!
