Delicious fish and shrimp served with heads and tails and all the body parts intact so be ready to do a little work when you eat here. Even the tortillas were real toasty and tasty. The experience was not impressive. While the service was friendly and attentive, the food did not meet expectations. I also noticed a concerning pricing disparity: white customers were charged $17, while others paid $10. This practice of having different prices based on skin color is against the law.

I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant, but unfortunately, I couldn't bring myself to enjoy most of the food. Many dishes lacked flavor, and shortly after we left, my boyfriend and I both felt quite nauseous. While I don't believe it was food poisoning, I definitely felt unwell soon after our visit. I go for the pork green chili, which reminds me of a woman from the Bottoms who used to make it just like this. It's worth the entire buffet on its own. The beans are delicious, and the tamales are amazing whenever they’re available. It tastes just like the food I grew up with, with that perfect Midwestern Mexican flavor. Everything is spot on. I went to enjoy beef tamales with sauce, Refried Beans and Spanish rice. They only had 3 tamales on the buffet line and they were so dried and hard that they didn't even want to cut with a knife! The Beans and rice was ok,, but I never got a replacement for the tamales and they didn't have any sauce for them. The service on my drink was good and the place is very clean and sanitary. But $20.00 for that meal was and is totally ridiculous!
