"I took my friend to this restaurant for dinner, and we had a fantastic time! We had both visited before, and since I've been coming here my whole life, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to share a review. My family and I have had countless laughs at the Pasta Bowl locations, and the food is truly wonderful. My two favorite dishes are the Conchiglie Gorgonzola and the Lobster Ravioli—both are phenomenal. My friend tried the daily special, and it was delicious. I also enjoyed their Paloma drink. The staff was warm and friendly, though it sometimes took a little while to get their attention. The atmosphere is usually lively and energetic. I will definitely be coming back!"

It seems like you get an astonishingly generous portion of pasta at an excellent price!

It’s great but I hate that you can’t get the same meal for two deal if you dine in only take out. So are they asking for us not to dine in??? Just weird.

Came here with a large group the day before the Chicago Marathon- all of us loved our food! Portions were huge and very affordable. Amazing chicken parm, shrimp pesto, and chicken Alfredo!!

Great value for your money! This charming local Italian restaurant offers generous portion sizes. I visited after completing a half marathon, and I couldn't finish all my food. I will definitely be returning! View menu

Nice family friendly restaurant which a large back atmosphere yet a good selection of fresh pasta and delicious deserts. They also have wines and spirits to pair them. Portions are generous so come with good appetite. Highly recommended if you are in the mood for pasta.

I wanted to check out this popular restaurant, and it turned out to be quite good. It’s like a more upscale version of Olive Garden, though without the complimentary bread and soup or salad. I ordered the tortellini crema, which was delicious and came in a generous portion. The service was also pleasant!

Very nice establishment with friendly staff. But the spaghetti and meatballs was a no for me, it’s just wasn’t giving spaghetti for me. The spaghetti had very little taste and the meatballs were a nice since but was very very blend with no taste as well even with the sauce over them. They also give you a bread on the side with the spaghetti and the crust was hard and the inside was soft almost like a soft dry texture. I also got the garlic cheese bread and it was good. I would love to give the place another shot with another dish to try and see if it’s a actually a no for me. View menu

If I had to describe this establishment in a couple words it would be “Life-Changing”. This restaurant is truly one of the greatest places I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating in. Being a lover of Italian food, I decided to check this place out after a long day. I was greeted by the smiling hostess who directed me to choose a seat of my liking. I love having choices. Speaking of choices, the menu is phenomenal! I decided to go with the Gnocchi Aurora and boy was it delicious. It was like a party in my mouth! I enjoyed the large portions and will definitely be returning. Thank you Pasta Bowl.

A lovely spot for lunch! I discovered this restaurant on the map, and its name gave off a friendly vibe. The space isn’t overly large, but it’s comfortable enough to enjoy a meal. Upon entering, you’ll notice the open kitchen, which is a bold choice for a restaurant and likely comes with its own set of challenges. The staff were friendly and attentive. Whenever I try a new Italian restaurant, I make it a point to order calamari, and I was impressed with theirs—it was excellent! The prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Don’t miss out on their tiramisu at the end of your meal; it’s a must-try! I’ll definitely be back!

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
