"I ate here several months ago and had a good Italian sausage sandwich. That's why I'm giving Paul's two stars. If I was reviewing based solely on my recent experience, I'd give one star. I ordered a pizza. It was pretty gross, about like a convenience store pizza. Greasy. Very greasy. Lots of cheese, and it didn't seem to have much pepperoni, sausage, or veggies. But it was greasy. Also, it had a sweetness to it. It's probably the sauce. I guess some sauces are made with sweet marinara sauce? If you like that, and you like grease, lots of grease, you might enjoy this pizza. The server was friendly, but she wasn't around a lot as she had about 10 tables by herself. She got everything right and did the best she could, and did so with a smile that seemed genuine. Hopefully management gets her some help. I probably won't eat there again. $30 is a lot to pay for a gross lunch."

Love the pizza's, thin crust and deep dish. Born in Chicago and lived in Florida now for 40 years. Glad we have an authentic pizza place to enjoy the comforts of home.

They use to make the best deep Chicago style pizza. They stopped making them some time ago. Just wishing they would bring it back. There are no other places that can make it the way they did.

I always look forward to having lunch here! The food is delicious, and Miss Rosa does an excellent job of remembering my usual order. Her dedication to her customers is truly impressive! It's a fantastic place! Food: 5/5

2nd time here and we ordered same as last. Their house pizza, 2 beefs, and an Italian sub. The beef was flavorful and on the right kind of bread. Pizza was excellent with that cracker crust, big sausage, and great sauce. As close to home that we've found and they hold their own.Food: 5/5 View menu

The Chicago thin crust tavern style pizza was out of this world good!! I will be coming back weekly for that pie. I SEE REVIEWS of people complaining that thin is not Chicago pizza. They're stupid and have no idea what they're talking about. Tavern style is authentic Chicago all the way.Food: 5/5

Just to clarify, deep dish pizza is not what people from Illinois refer to as Chicago-style pizza; that honor belongs to our thin crust. When we crave pizza, we don’t reach for a hefty deep dish; instead, we go for the wonderfully crispy thin crust. This restaurant excels at delivering the delicious, authentic thin crust that our state has been missing, providing the superior crispy perfection that defines true Chicago-style pizza.

Stopped in on my lunch for a slice of pizza take out but they do not serve pizza by the slice but they did offer a mini. I was surprised that the place was packed on a Thursday. They were busy. It took a little longer than expected for a to go mini pizza (about 20 mins) but the staff was very friendly and apologized for the wait. The restaurant was very clean and had good atmosphere. They cut the pizza in squares which is fine but in a mini it was cut into too small of pieces and as I was trying to eat it the toppings were falling off as I was trying to eat it. View menu

We headed to get Chicago style pizza, sat in a booth, the ac and fan blew so hard, our napkins kept blowing off the table, we froze and couldn 't wait to leave. When the server came over, I said may I have the Chicago style cheese pizza with olives and spinach, they responded, of course. When the pizza arrived, we received thin crust pizza from the food runner, I said we ordered Chicago style pizza, and they said all we have is thin crust. The server was good; I didnt expect much from a pizza joint, however, after we finished the pizza, our server just dropped off the check and said thanks. No recommendations for dessert, or if everything was okay. The hosts were great, very polite.

I ordered a large thin crust pizza with extra cheese and extra sausage. When I got it home, the crust and cheese were okay, but the amount of sausage was disappointing—you could barely count the pieces. The cheese was fine since I had requested extra, but their failure to ensure the accuracy of each order is simply unacceptable. I've raised this issue multiple times with the kitchen manager. Paying $25 for a pizza is reasonable; however, I won't accept receiving an incorrect order for that price anymore. I'm tired of asking for improvements and expressing my concerns. Since Paul sold the place, Paul's Pizza in St. Pete has not been the same, and I won't be returning. Sincerely, Completely Di...

"Not long ago I stumbled upon this place. I was in love with it right away. I told everyone I knew about it. The service was great. The food was delicious. The ease of the drive thru was just what I needed with small children in tow. This place is a cashless business. Each customer they charge an automatic 15 gratuity. Sometimes they ask if the gratuity is ok and sometimes they don't. You prepay before they bring you the food and before you eat it. Charging Gratuity ahead of time is a bit presumptuous in my opinion. Months after I started going here, I started asking for my receipts. I did this because according to my credit card statements, the charge was different each time. Even though my order was the same. Unbeknownst to me, I'd been charged way above the 15 . Sometimes it was 23 , other times it was 25 . It was whatever amount they decided on. Did I mention this place is drive thru only? I had many discussions with the owners and they promised they would fix the problem. She comped a meal or 2 of mine for the extra money I spent, but it was not near the amount I had spent when the extra gratuity was added on to each order. I can only imagine how much extra gratuity I paid before I previously started asking for the receipt. I use to go there 5 days a week. Do the math. Today was the very last day I will give Pineapple Espresso my business. They overcharged me again. They did not fix the problem, but continue to blame it on the new help or their new credit card machines. I gave them multiple times to get there sh t together and they didn't. So, if you are thinking of visiting this place or maybe you already do, I highly suggest you have them print out your receipts. And pay attention to any extra charges. Chances are really good your paying an extra 23 or more gratuity on your orders."
