"I was looking for a place to cater our work event and that also delivered. Peasant Pies was recommended to me. They have a couple of locations in San Francisco area. I believe I spoke to the manager of what I needed and they delivered. He was a great communicator and the delivery was on time and pies were still Hot. You can 't tell the size of the pie by looking at pictures. I asked the manager and he was honest. He did not exaggerate. One was good for me but for other people with bigger appetites two might be good. They had sweet and savory pies. My fave was the beef and potatoes and their version of a chicken pot pie. I did order the chocolate pie. It wasn’t too rich and it was delish! My co-workers ordered the blue berry pie and they loved it. In my opinion the pie is considered one serving but definitely shareable. I say the pies are good for a light lunch or snack. For some it might be a meal. But either way I liked it a lot! It is definitely affordable to buy two to three pies and you will not be disappointed! I recommend it 100%. Note: no comment on atmosphere or ambiance as our food was delivered. And no pictures of the savory pies! We ate them right away and …I forgot!"

I tried the vegetables and cheese, all the veggies tasted the same and the cheese was almost tasteless. The pear pie was edible. Just don't go there.

Suffered in a pretty tough job at UCSF for three months. This place kept me going. Love it a ton. Great prices, great service, and of course, great pies.

I really enjoy the diverse selection of hand pies and salads at this cozy cafe, which serves both hot and cold dishes. My top pick is the Mediterranean pie, filled with spinach and feta cheese. View menu

The food at this restaurant is fresh and delicious, especially the pies. I highly recommend trying their spicy dishes. My only complaint was the diluted hot sauce they were passing off as Tabasco.

For those in search of a quick snack or a light lunch on the go, Peasant Pie is a great option. Situated near the University of San Francisco Medical Center, the restaurant has a friendly staff and excellent service.

Nice experience with good simple pot pies we ordered and took home for an evening meal. We tried chicken, lentil and beef pies for a total of four. Just enough for two people to sample with a salad. No mystery just good stuff. View menu

I ordered takeout early in the morning. The person working at the counter had great suggestions. I decided to try one savory pie (spinach and feta) and one sweet pie (berry custard). The atmosphere felt more like a takeout place than a cafe.

I highly recommend trying Peasant Pies for a delicious small pie and cup of coffee in a charming and welcoming environment. The staff, including Tirza and her husband, are incredibly friendly and provide excellent hospitality. My dog Jesse even loves them! The delicious food and warm atmosphere will keep you coming back for more.

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
