This is the best pho in DC, and they offer excellent vegan options! However, they are notoriously late in opening.

I ordered the tofu banh mi along with spring rolls. The banh mi was decent, but the rice paper on the spring rolls was excessively thick and chewy, overpowering the other flavors and making them difficult to enjoy. The dish is served with a Fuji apple broth, which was pleasant, but a bit too sweet for my taste.

I should have had my suspicions when I walked in and heard Hispanic music playing instead of traditional Asian tunes. I could understand it if the restaurant was serving Hispanic cuisine, but this is meant to be a Vietnamese place. I left feeling disappointed. The pho was just okay—blander than what I've experienced at other Vietnamese restaurants. The spring rolls were decent, though. My favorite restaurant! I tried the spicy lemongrass broth, and it was absolutely incredible—better than the beef broth I usually order. My friend had the vegetarian broth made with Fuji apples, and it was delicious with a nice touch of sweetness. We also ordered the seafood rolls, which were two for $8. They were a good size and came cut into three pieces each. Everything was fresh. Overall, the atmosphere, service, and food were fantastic. I highly recommend this place; I come here whenever I'm in the mood for pho. P.S. I’ve been eating pho since I can remember— my dad is part Vietnamese and loves eating pho and making it at home. Ever since I moved to DC at the start of this year, I’ve been on the hunt for good pho in the district. Going to Falls Church is always fantastic but just not feasible on weekdays. Pho 14 not only is affordable!!! (under $30 including tip for a large beef pho with plenty of meet and a bahn mi) but hits every spot when I’m craving comfort food. This is a fantastic spot for Pho. While the restaurant is quite small, its layout ensures that each table has enough space and privacy. The garden rolls were exceptional—definitely the freshest and softest I've ever had. The only thing I would change is removing the celery; its flavor was a bit overpowering, and it didn't snap as nicely as the other vegetables. However, the green mango in the rolls was absolutely wonderful. As for the pho, it was delicious! I had hoped for a stronger broth flavor, but it was so tasty that it reminded me of home.
