"Although I am not Vietnamese, I have tried a lot of Pho. Each Pho restaurant has a different family recipe that is passed down through generations, according to my ex-girlfriend's family. My current girlfriend, who is first-generation Vietnamese, believes that this restaurant is known for having the best beef Pho in town. The menu consists of only Pho and drinks, no rice or appetizers. I tried the beef Pho and found it to be very good. The meat was a good balance of thin raw beef and tasty, not-too-fatty brisket. However, my bowl was a bit lacking in tendons and tripe. The tripe was a bit gamier than I prefer, as an Asian who enjoys eating tripe. The broth was well-balanced, although the star anise flavor was dominant. The beef stew was too oily for my taste and had more miscellaneous beef pieces than I would like. The fresh French bread that came with the meal was warm and fluffy, but unfortunately, the stew did not match up to the quality of the Pho. I would give this restaurant a rating of 3.7 out of 5 stars."
