"The patrons dining nearby were raving about their noodles in their native language, which says a lot—they clearly know their Southeast Asian cuisine well. I can wholeheartedly agree that my dry noodles were outstanding as well. My meal, including a traditional Vietnamese iced coffee, came to $22 with tax and tip. One thing to note: this restaurant is located in the heart of the Tenderloin district, where I noticed at least three people passed out on the sidewalk. Be cautious of where you step if you care about your shoes and your car's interior. While the restaurant itself is clean, the exterior has unfortunately deteriorated significantly in 2021. "

The restaurant is nice and clean, and the pho is delicious. They use fresh herbs, and it's a quick meal. The owners are extremely friendly.

This is the most excellent pho I've had since leaving Saigon. I highly recommend trying the phở đặc biệt, the special noodle soup—it's the best!

Incredible pho! I ordered takeout, and even after it sat in the car for hours while I ran errands, it was still fantastic. They package the noodles, broth, and toppings separately, which prevents everything from getting soggy.

This restaurant is not in a very good area so please be careful and watch your surroundings. As far as the food it was just ok! Also if you decide to eat here make sure you bring CASH they do not accept cards (atm is located inside if you forget) View menu

Extra Large Beef combination Pho is a must if you are staying near the Tenderloin area. Extra large means the bowl is extra large too. Tripe, raw beef, beef balls, stomach and tendon. Soup is full of flavour and the pho texture is amazing. Will definitely come again.

This restaurant serves the best traditional pho! I absolutely love all the beef options, and my husband appreciates the chance to enjoy some delicious tripe. Please note that they only accept cash for all transactions. The street it's on has a high number of homeless individuals, and this is a casual fast-casual eatery, so don't expect the ambiance of a typical American sit-down restaurant.

I don't know why Turtle Tower and Golden Star are higher rated, but this place definitely has the best pho out of the bunch. Also the service is lightning fast; probably the fastest in the bay area. It is in the tenderloin so watch out for the homeless junkies who tend to loiter around out front. It's truly amazing how 5,6,10 years later, it still tastes the same: delicious. Stick to the beef pho, clearly the house specialty. One of few noodle houses open for breakfast in the Tenderloin — a plus. Standard Vietnamese appetizers, good but not over the top. Full-flavored bone broth, best accompanied with black pepper and homemade chili oil. Forego the sriracha and hoisin which will cover the subtle aromatics. Any combination of beef toppings served by numbered order — in small, medium and large. Seafood pho and fresh spring rolls, decent.

There’s little more to say about dining here than that the food is outstanding. The medium-sized bowl of pho I was served had a wonderfully tasty broth that didn’t require any additional spices or seasonings, but it was even better with the lemon, mint leaves, and jalapeños provided on the side. The meat was tender and flavorful, making the overall meal exceptional. The tea was enjoyable, and the staff was attentive, but those aren’t the main reasons to visit. Come for the pho, keep returning for the pho, and enjoy the nice touches, like good service and tea.

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
