"We visited on a Saturday evening to try the prime rib buffet, priced at $45 per person. The buffet featured a variety of dishes, including prime rib, pan-grilled chicken breasts, salmon, beer-battered shrimp, steamed broccolini, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese with scallops, lobster bisque, bread rolls, a small salad bar, Dungeness crab claws, cold steamed shrimp, a meat and cheese board, and about six dessert options. Sounds appealing, right? Unfortunately, everything was served at room temperature, and most of the dishes tasted pre-prepared. The prime rib, chicken, and crab claws lacked flavor. The beer-battered shrimp lost their crispiness as they were kept in a covered chafing dish, causing them to steam instead. The mashed potatoes were dry, thick, and room temperature, to the point that the butter wouldn’t even melt. Apart from the potatoes and salad bar, the only vegetable option was broccolini. It shouldn't be that difficult to offer a few more vegetable choices at a buffet. The restaurant wasn't busy, and there appeared to be sufficient staff. Service was adequate, though we had to ask twice for our initial drinks. The ambiance was acceptable—clean and modern. Callaway Gardens markets itself as an upscale resort and positions its pricing accordingly. However, their top full-service dining option does not meet those expectations. I left feeling disappointed."

As usual food was good and good selection. Dungenous claws much better than previous visits. Weak link was dessert. Poor quality.

We enjoyed the seafood buffet. They had a good selection of different foods, including dishes other than seafood. Our waitress was great!

Had the buffet... Food selection wasn't good for the price. The salmon was very fishy. The food was bland and needed way more seasoning. The deserts were not good either. Had little to no flavor. Overall disappointed.

The value vs cost was not great. Online representation of the menu was inaccurate. The alcoholic beverages were so bad our party started drinking tea and water. Breakfast was especially poor, made to order eggs could not be made to order. I realize you have a captive audience due to the remote location but an effort could be made. View menu

The evening meal, for which we had reservations, was OK for a Buffet. The following morning they offered a Buffet or off the menu ordering. The wife only wanted oatmeal for breakfast and was informed by the maître d’ that said oatmeal is in the buffet you have to pay $21.95 to eat just oatmeal. If you offered both menu and buffet, the customer is always right.

We tried the Prime Rib Buffet, and unfortunately, our experience was mixed. The host was somewhat rude, which set a negative tone right away. Our server was friendly but quite slow. The salad bar was decent, but the Prime Rib was just average—not the best I've had, but definitely not the worst. The side dishes were disappointing; the mashed potatoes were dry and lacked seasoning. A little butter and salt would have made a huge difference. The shrimp served as a side was cold and overcooked. Overall, it was $45 plus drinks, which felt a bit steep for the quality we received. View menu

We arrived and both my wife and I were dressed for the occasion. The seater did NOT sit us in the formal dining room as we had asked for. He put us next to the all you can eat prime rib buffet table. My wife is legally blind and the experience of putting her next to an all you can eat buffet upset her terribly. We tried to work through it and she ordered the prime rib and it was not good at all as it showed up to our table cold. I ordered the NY strip and asked it be cooked medium rare , it came out well done and charred. That was all we could stand. Looking for a 5 star experience but in reality just another 1 star experience

The atmosphere of the restaurant felt like a bright cafeteria. I left feeling very disappointed, as I had hoped for a more refined experience considering this is the main dining area of the lodge. Although the focus is on a buffet, you do have the option to order from a menu. I chose the pork chop, but it was inedible—so overcooked that I could barely manage a single bite, despite ordering it differently. When I brought my concerns to the attention of the assistant manager, it was clear that he lacked the training to properly address the issue. If you're looking for any sort of meaningful dining experience, the Piedmont Room is not the place to go. However, if you enjoy a bright cafeteria at...
