"When we arrived on Thursday after Christmas at 1:30 a.m., we found the place to be 60% full. I would recommend a reservation as we. I ordered the rainbow trout and my wife the shrimps/crimp plate. the food was excellent and more so that we shared each other's meals. the waitress was very helpful, cheerful and my lower mark in the service was not directed at them. we found the service to be slow, in our case wait a 30-minute and I noticed the same for those around us. we also found it hard for them to justify only 4 medium-sized garnels on a $14 plate. overall it was all good and we would recommend friends. note that near the parking lot is limited with a lot of parking further on the hill. they have a parking lot at the restaurant."

"This was our second time visiting this restaurant and we were once again impressed by the amazing service. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and being able to bring our dog onto the patio. The food was absolutely delicious. The only thing that would make it even better is if there were more options for kids. Overall, we loved our experience and will definitely be coming back."

"Fantastic experience! This place is one of the highlights of Helen. They offer a great selection of products, including many unique items. While some products are quite affordable, others can be a bit pricey. There's even a beehive in the honey section, visible behind Plexiglas. Just a heads up: in Georgia, you can't purchase alcohol until 12:30 PM. So if you're planning to enjoy a German beer on your way out of Helen (like we were), keep that in mind—you won't be able to do it in the morning!"

"Bernie's well exceeded our expectations! I expected good food and that was all top notch, but the ambiance and wait staff were also top notch! There wasn't a single aspect of our experience that wasn't seen to. The staff were all relaxed and pleasant and it all just made me happy and relaxed the entire time we were there. Some places have to try hard to make a fine experience...not Bernie's. It just flowed. Well done!"

"The seating is mainly outside, not much inside dining. If the weather is great, then it’s fun. The outside deck is covered, so plenty of shade. We had the burgers and the White Alabama Chicken. All of the food was great and our server Tracy was great as well!!!!!! Would come again if we end up in town in the future."
