"We also sampled a variety of tropical cocktails, all of which were flavorful and had a nice kick. Unlike many places in tourist areas that serve what I consider “alcohol-scented” cocktails, Pirates Pub Grub delivered genuine, tasty drinks, including the impressive bucket of cocktails my (adult) son ordered (see photo below). The service was exceptional as well. We had two servers—unfortunately, I didn’t catch their names—but they were both fantastic. They provided attentive service, engaged with us, and even took multiple photos of us. They really made the experience special! We chose to sit outside, so we missed the atmosphere inside. After seeing some pictures from other reviews, I wish I had at least taken a moment to go inside and watch the bartender in action. While outdoor seating is limited, we were fortunate to snag a table with stunning views of the water and the sunset, even though it was facing east. This is definitely one of those places I wouldn’t miss if I return to the area! Highly recommended!"

I sat there the other afternoon and had a couple of drinks and some fries and a salad. The guy dressed up as a pirate was hilarious and really made it fun! He's a great worker! He brought in so many people off the boardwalk to buy drinks. He's a keeper!! Also a great place to watch the dolphins swimming around in the river!

Absolutely five stars all around! The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. As for the drinks, wow—they were absolutely delicious! We started with the gator bites, which were incredibly tender. The smoked fish dip was simply to die for; we couldn't get enough of it! It's a fantastic spot to relax and do some people-watching, with beautiful water views and the added charm of pelicans and dolphins—so amazing! This is definitely a must-visit! Service was dine-in. This charming spot on the boardwalk is a delightful find. We loved sitting outside while watching the activities on the water, though we unfortunately didn't spot any pirates. Our waiter, Silvio, might easily be mistaken for one with his lively spirit. He provided excellent service, taking great care of us and enthusiastically recommending his favorites along with the specials and market updates. After spending a few hours on Treasure Island beach, this restaurant was the perfect way to wrap up our day.

Wandered in here while walking around John’s Pass on Mediera Beach and were blown away by the amazing service, food and drinks! They really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and accommodated. Kelsey was our server and she was just outstanding, but they really had a team concept and everyone on staff stopped by our table with a helpful suggestion, a smile and to check on us during our visit. We started with the smoked fish spread which was incredible, and added hush puppies for the table. I got the lobster roll and was so excited at the generous portion of flakey delicious lobster on it.
