"Poke Star Sushi is located in the Marina Faire Shopping Center in San Leandro, CA. It 's at the corner of Doolittle Drive Fairway, next door to Subway Sandwiches. I tried this place on a weeknight just before closing. In fact, when I walked in the guy said they were closed. But he said if I ordered fast, they could quickly make it. So I scanned the menu, and I decided to get the Passion Salmon Roll and a Dragon Roll. As they made my rolls, they told me all about their business. He strongly suggested I order ahead of time using their website and come pickup my food. Those rolls were good. The ingredients were fresh and had no stale fishy smell. The presentation for takeout was neat and organized. This place is takeout or delivery only, as there 's no dining room available. I don 't know if they set up tables outside in the daytime. So why 4 stars? Because the restaurant looks untidy. The dining room is being used as a storage area, and there 's stock everywhere. The restroom is not available to customers, so why not partition off that part of the restaurant so people can 't see it? I 'm not being picky! If a restaurant looks messy, that affects a customer 's expectations. If you order delivery, this doesn 't affect you. So, in summary, Poke Star serves good sushi rolls, has good service, but needs to tidy up their restaurant. Always order takeout. Prices are reasonable and quality is not bad. Checkout the tray A,B, C or D which are a better deal for party trays and they are not found on the menu.

Second time in a row that they got my order wrong and this time I had an allergic reaction to the food because they ignored my specific instructions whatever sauce they drowned my Poke Bowl in caused me serious distress. I always place orders hours prior to the delivery time so they have time to read the order. They used to be good. One error can be an oversight but twice in a row means there has been a change for the worse. I will not be purchasing anything from them ever again.

I placed an online pick-up order. The price I agreed to pay ended up being higher than expected because they automatically added a $5 tip without my consent or confirmation. This definitely left a bad impression on me and I will not be recommending this restaurant to others. I also will not be returning in the future. It's frustrating that I am using my own devices to place the order online with a service fee, only to have a tip added without my knowledge. This practice is absolutely ridiculous.

There were limited options available and the flavors in the dishes did not complement each other well. We ordered two different bowls, both of which were extremely sweet and difficult to enjoy. This was the seventh poke restaurant we have tried and unfortunately, we will not be returning. The staff were friendly and our order was prepared quickly, but we were disappointed with the lack of a build-your-own poke bowl option on the menu. Today, I drove by a restaurant and was excited to try their poke for lunch. However, when I entered the restaurant, I was immediately put off by the strong smell of old fish and the messy dining area filled with boxes and trash. I couldn't overlook the unhygienic conditions and decided not to risk eating raw fish that might be spoiled. I left without ordering. Although the restaurant may have received good ratings in the past, I wasn't willing to take a chance. They appeared to offer delivery services through DoorDash and Postmates, which may be their main source of business. Overall, I rated the atmosphere as 1 out of 5.

In order to satisfy his craving, we decided another round today. Couldn't taken any pics from his plate since he was hunger. He couldn't remember what he ordered last time so this time he took pic of the order for faster service in the future lol. I had mine almost the same every time. This time I remembered to get half and half rice and spring mix. The way the cook put seaweed salad with on the same side as cucumber and eel and the other side for spring mix and spicy tuna were perfect of every single bite. The unagi the egg are perfectly layout. I finished it before him that was how much I enjoyed today bowl. Keep up your good work and hospitality. Sending love to your business.
