"I have to say I was a bit disappointed with my experience. My order was incorrect, as I only received half of my base, and the bowl was unappealing. Having enjoyed fresh fish in Seattle, I might have higher standards that don't align with the average poke experience in San Francisco. I ordered the Spicy Ahi with half rice and half salad, but ended up with just half rice and no salad at all. The amount of rice was underwhelming, and the fish didn't taste particularly fresh. The masago roe was clumped together, almost frozen and quite firm. Overall, I felt a bit let down, though it served as a decent snack considering the portion size. I also tried the Hawaiian Classic with half rice and half salad; they managed to get the half-and-half correct, but the bowl still tasted low in quality and was quite small for the price."

Love pokeworks poke bowls. They always get my order right and get it ready within 15 minutes of ordering. Taeli has also been a huge help, amazing staff.

Always ready on time, always the correct order, always tastes great. Taeli knocked it out of the park on my last visit. Glad to have this location nearby.

The food's good.... WHEN THEY GET YOUR ORDER RIGHT. It's happened too many times that something with my order is wrong. It's frustrating not worth the headache.Get your poke from a different place!! View menu

I ordered the poke bowl salad with three types of protein and requested that they torch the fish. Wow, it was absolutely delicious! Torching the protein really enhances the flavor. You should definitely give it a try!

Would NOT recommend this poke place to anyone in the area, very expensive ~17 dollars) for the smallest poke bowl I've ever had. I've had way better poke bowls that are around the same price but give you way more portion. Would never come back here again.

This restaurant provides simple take-out choices that deliver good quality for the price. Customers have the convenience of ordering online or via tablets, with a wide variety of options to choose from, including fish, tofu, and chicken. For those who prefer their fish cooked, it can be torched to their liking instead of being served completely raw. View menu

Just ordered delivery from pokeworks for lunch. I had a bad experience here a short while ago and was craving poke so I thought I'd give them another chanceThey are light on the fish, but at least it tasted fresher this time around. The portion for what you pay for is skimpy, as the pictures show.Save your money and your stomach as you won't know if it's fresh or if you are still going to be hungry after the 3-4 bites of fish.Delivery came with no utensils nor napkins.

The ingredients at this restaurant are consistently fresh, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. My top choice is the surimi, particularly the new spicy variety. I really enjoy the bowls, but be sure to try the musubis too! Both the spam and vegetarian options are tasty and perfect for a great snack or mini-meal. Compared to other poke spots I’ve visited, the freshness of the ingredients here is superior, and each bowl at Pokeworks has a wonderful balance of flavors, not just concentrating on the protein.

"Date Night ASA Restaurant has two locations in the Bay Area and their Los Gatos location earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition This was my first dining experience at their more north location in downtown Los Altos With high ceilings and heart themed adorned menus, this was a perfect spot for a Valentine’s week dining experience The menu here is slightly different from the Los Gatos location and I’ve heard that the two locations may not be as closely affiliated when they first opened I loved the appetizers and particular loved the anchovy bread with two different anchovy types topped on crisp, warm bread. The Dungeness crab appetizer was also excellent For entrees, I opted for ASA’s signature exotic mushroom pasta that is on both the Los Gatos and Los Altos menu As a fungi fan, I absolutely love this dish and it’s one of the best pasta dishes in the South Bay and Peninsula The only miss was their special of the day of striped bass over risotto. The purple yam purée was sour and the risotto dry with zero moisture or liquid and more like a cooked rice dish than a risotto ASA is a fantastic destination for the Bay Area and while the prices are elevated, they reflect elevated cuisine (and high ceilings) Smoked and Stoned $16 Anchovy Bread $16 Dungeness Crab Toast $36 Special Striped Bass over Risotto ASA’s Exotic Mushroom Pasta $34 ASA Restaurant (Los Altos, CA) Reservations are recommended on Opentable and dining is indoor only. Credit cards including AmEx are accepted."

"The experience here from start to finish was pretty odd, and the service was bad. Menus weren't brought to us for a long time, they apologized when they eventually gave the menus to us. The restaurant was nearly empty aside from one other table, but everything was slow. We weren't checked in on at all during the meal. When we ordered, the waitress was very confused and unfamiliar with the menu. I assumed she was new, but then we received the same confusing service from all staff. We were randomly brought French fries that we didn't order, and then that kept happening with various other menu items The veggies in all the dishes were cold and tasted watery, unseasoned, and like they had been frozen. Scallion pancakes had no scallions in them at all. Basil eggplant dish had no basil at all. Smoothie wasn't blended properly: all ice at the bottom, and only a super sweet watery liquid would come through the straw. It tasted like the same overly-processed sauce was on every dish, nothing felt fresh. The kimchi rice was a good menu item, but it didn't really taste like kimchi. Just seasoned rice. Appetizer and drinks were brought out after we finished everything. A staff member tried to argue with us when we wanted to send something back. When we paid and thanked them, they didn't say a word to us or even look in our direction, and didn't give us a customer copy of the receipt."
