"This is an excellent taqueria serving freshly made, delicious Mexican dishes. We tried the vegan burritos filled with beans, cabbage, and avocado, and they were fantastic. The salsa has a great flavor and a bit of heat; I personally prefer the red salsa over the green. The chips are crispy and not greasy, which is a nice change from many taquerias. They also offer a good selection of drinks, including Mexican Coke. I opted for the mineral water, and it was very refreshing. There is a decent amount of seating inside, with a few tables in the back. The service was outstanding, and the owner, Alex, makes sure everything runs smoothly. I definitely plan to return!"

"I have been missing the food and atmosphere in Waikiki lately, and this place truly brought me back to the relaxing ocean breeze, comfort food, and tropical vibes of Hawaii! I had a lovely time here with my family, and we all loved the food, drinks, and service! Shoutout to Danielle for being such a wonderful server. FOOD Chicken lettuce wraps: These were a bit messy to eat but very good! The lettuce was very fresh and was a great way to start our meal. Papaya salad: We LOVED this dish!! The balance between the greens, papaya, lychee, and macadamia nuts was so delightful and refreshing. Hawaiian Mochiko chicken: The chicken was so tender and well seasoned! The veggies on the side were also great, and my grandma really enjoyed the healthy option. DRINKS Mermaid's Kiss: This drink was refreshing and strong! It wasn't super sweet, which was perfect. Painkiller: This drink was also pretty strong, and I really enjoyed it! Would highly recommend ordering both of these drinks. SERVICE The service here is amazing, and what I was most impressed by is that they knew we would be doing family style rather than having individual entrees. They brought out extra plates for us, no questions asked. It made me feel that the staff here are culturally competent and mindful, and I really appreciated that! Thank you for a fantastic experience, and I'll definitely be back!"

"first, if they have a car, they won't go. we had to park in a park zone and make sure our car was dragged all the time. we just don't get it. the menu we looked at on the line was completely different from the menu in the restaurant. we applaud before location in season and think that is wonderful, but nothing was the same. we had a chicken dish that was really easy. it was so sweet, which is also ok when it is balanced with a sharp or economical aspekt. it was not . the pork was served up with stuffed strawberries. again. there were actually ingredients in the plate that we could not identify. we thought the drinks menu was so pretentious we couldn't find anything we wanted. we ask for a vodka with ginger-ale and a rotation of cranberry, just right? No, they thought we were actually going to promote instead of ginger-ale. again yuk . this place tries so hard to be hip, they cannot see the forest for the trees. keep it simple people when they use good ingredients, they don't need 20 dings going in a court. go over you."

"The bread and herb dip was good. The main entrees were sad, however. We got the lamb shank, which was not nearly as tender as it should have been, and it was TASTELESS. How can Mediterranean food be tasteless?! The sauce was one note, maybe paprika? Bland and uninteresting. Really a disappointment. The shrimp skewers were better but only because some white sauce was drizzled on it, saving it from being one note flavored. The veg was kale sauteed with only garlic again one note. Like, you have all those herbs and spices in Med cooking and you didn't use them?! Even the mashed potatoes were unflavored! Which would have been fine if the sauce was decent, but it sure wasn't! Dessert was pistachio panna cotta and tiramisu. The panna cotta was ok, but the only pistachio was sprinkled on top, not flavoring the pudding. The tiramisu was excellent. Considering that the bread and desserts were almost certainly not made in house, this restaurant isn't very good. Especially for $130 for two people!! ????"

"The most important issue at this restaurant is the portion size. Customers may not mind paying $16 for a beet salad, but it is frustrating to receive a tiny salad that cannot even be shared between two people given the high cost of ingredients. The same problem applies to their bolani and soup; while the soup portion was adequate, receiving only one small bolani was disappointing. In the East Bay, a dish of bolani typically includes around 8 pieces, whereas this restaurant serves just one. The food itself tasted good, but we left feeling unsatisfied by the limited portion sizes. The service provided by Gillian, however, was exceptional and made the meal more enjoyable."
