The place was smaller than I expected. They offer a selection of fish, but not an extensive variety. Additionally, the restaurant is connected to it.

Awesome oysters, chips, and cod. Super fresh and nicely fried. Highly recommend. Also, wonderful fresh and smoked fish. Especially the sushi grade salmon and tuna.

Truly the best fish chips I’ve ever had! Perfectly cooked cod and perfectly cooked fries. Served w tarter, lemons, ketchup, and malt vinegar. Great hot meal on a rainy day. Dude was nice and cool too

If you are looking for high quality, this is the place. I got ahi tuna from here. It was amazing! I also picked up some fish n chips and it was some of the best I've had. The batter they use is gluten free and delicious.

I absolutely love this place! They serve the best fish and chips I've ever had in Portland. Their fried shrimp and fried oysters are also fantastic. Additionally, their fish market is exceptional. Fish and chips is good. Particularly the fish texture tells it's freshness. Fries are a bit too salty for me but I think my taste is mild and lighter than others. Attendants in the market are super nice. They explained each fish to customers who are I interested in. One of them even introduced the whole neighborhood to a customer who actually didn't buy anything.

This charming fish market and restaurant in Southeast Portland is a hidden gem. While I usually avoid going into Portland due to the overall vibe of the city, I always make an exception for the Portland Fish Market. They offer incredibly fresh fish, making it an ideal spot for sushi-grade tuna and salmon. Additionally, the staff is friendly and very accommodating. I highly recommend it!

#1 thing you might not know about this fish market: their walk up window fish and chips. Definitely one the best in town! GREAT selection of fish halibut, Ling cod, sturgeon?? And yes that shatteringly crisp batter coating... which just happens to be free of both dairy and gluten, thankyouverymuch. The fries are also very crisp, never disappoint. It really IS all about the oil temp. They're in the back of the market, with the window accessed from 44th off Woodstock. Worthy. View menu
