"I mean just drive the 15 minutes to las manitas or fiesta. Service: spilt the margarita on the whole table, forgot the appetizers, and bought us a wrong meal when we tried to tell them we ordered something else told us that was what we ordered when we didn't. Mind you one of four people in the restaurant . Food: I found chunks of garlic in the chimichanga, the sauce tasted like marina, canned green beans in the rice To top it off it's not cheap seriously drive the extra 15 minutes you'll thank me. This place was filled with old people and that should tell you something"

What a difference! I visited here once before, but I stopped coming because it was declining quickly. With the new owner, everything has changed! It’s amazing now! View menu

Surprised this place isn’t more popular than it is. Staff is great, food is great, drinks are great and atmosphere is great. Nothing more you could ask for. Been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. View menu

This is the most authentic Mexican restaurant in the area. They have an excellent selection of tequila and mezcal. The atmosphere is very rustic, featuring a charming Oaxacan flair! Tonight, I enjoyed tacos al pastor, tacos de lengua, and ceviche. Absolutely delicious!

I live 45 minutes away from Carmel, but I work there. I recently won a gift certificate and decided to try the restaurant on August 5, 2022. I brought my order home before digging in, and I must say, it's some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. I was surprised by the amount of food I received—I even had to double-check if they gave me the correct bag! Now I'm really eager to go back and try more dishes.

"Nice place. Searching Google for a local place to go, I came across McCarthy 's Grill House and it looked interesting enough to try. For some reason on Yelp it 's McCarthy Family Eatery so not sure which one it 's supposed to be. Once inside, it looks like an old school bar and pub, but there 's booths and another room with plenty of tables. The place has a nice feel. There 's a pool table, an old school arcade game, and just a generally comfortable feel. The menus looked good, was varied enough, and most of the prices were reasonable. The waiter was friendly enough. They put out a bowl of chips and water upon sitting. Be careful not to eat too much of the chips, as they may fill you up before the actual food comes. I always order a bacon cheeseburger when I come to a new place simply because I like it and it 's an easy dish, that if the place messes that up then I won 't be looking to try anything else. I ordered the French Onion soup, which was good. My companion ordered the Lobster Bisque which I tried a little of and it was very good. The burger itself was good and cooked correctly, though I wasn 't a fan of the poppy seed roll used as a bun. A roll as a bun is fine, but perhaps a heads up that it 's a poppy seed roll. I 'm not a fan of poppy seeds at all, but it wasn 't the end of the world. The fries were fine. There 's outdoor seating for when the weather gets nicer. The parking lot is ok enough. It 's up a long hill, so drive fast enough and you may miss the turn into this place. Overall a nice place and I would come here again for sure."
