"During our recent trip to Houston to pick up a part for my husband’s rig, we decided to explore a new restaurant, and I am so glad we chose this one! The atmosphere was vibrant, and I loved the artwork on the walls. Our server was fantastic, and the food was absolutely delicious! My husband had been craving seafood for a few days, and I could never resist a good seafood boil. My boiled shrimp was fresh, hot, and spicy—just perfect. I will definitely return, and I might even make the two-hour drive again just to eat here. I highly recommend it, and my strawberry margarita was exceptional! We’re planning to bring friends along next time, and I appreciated how clean the place was. I can’t wait to visit again!"

Early cancer was excellent. Size was so early. The Rohaustern were also great and tasty good. One of our favorite spots for quality defects.

Early season crawfish were excellent. Size was good this early. Also, the raw oysters were large and tasty well. One of our favorite spots for quality bugs.

The atmosphere is awesome! The food..was pretty good. The gumbo was probably a 5/10 IMO. Fried catfish was 6/10...fries were alright. Slightly disappointed but worth a trip. View menu

Great food, and Cajun taste. Nice down home feel and had a wide variety of authentic Cajun fare. The fried seafood poboy is the best I've had in Houston. This is a casual place and family friendly.

The staff were very nice, the atmosphere was pleasant. They cook the food pretty fast and it was pleasant. Although my daughter and I didn't care about the rubber block, everything else was excellent.

Worst Crawfish ever. Size was great, but the taste burned! They should have been boiled in the garlic butter sauce. That was the only thing that tastes decent. Never again update: order what TO-GO! Discovered the food was garbage after going home. Why should I go back to make it new? Should it? ve was made for the first time. View menu

The cabbage oysters were very flavorful, and the shrimp and crawfish Po' Boy was nicely done—not greasy at all; however, it could benefit from some extra sauce. The fries were excellent. The jambalaya was tasty, but a bit too moist. Unfortunately, the crab was rather disappointing; it lacked flavor, and the seasoning was added too late.

The customer service and atmosphere were enjoyable, but the Cajun flavors were definitely lacking! I was expecting a wide array of authentic Cajun dishes, but our shrimp po'boy, red beans and rice, and Cajun dish (which might have been autocorrected) fell short. The muffuletta ordered by my daughter had the most flavor, yet it's not even considered Cajun. I know that Houston has to offer some fantastic Cajun cuisine! Please consider bringing in some authentic flavors and maintain your great reputation!

"Food good. Location good. Service good. BUT, the hidden charges REALLY ruined an otherwise nice experience. Example: HH menu lists Martinis as a $3 upcharge to the $7 base charge. Fair enough. Bombay is a listed alcohol; requested. When the bill was returned I was charged for a Bombay Sapphire which is not on the HH list. Charge? $11 $3. I asked for Bombay, not Bombay Sapphire. Waiter: Oh, let me look into that. AND, by the way Blue Cheese olives? Extra $1. REALLY? I 've NEVER paid extra for BC olives ANYWHERE. AND the confusing menus that a dish as including an extra sauce, [and I don 't recall the exact language but it made it seem that an additional items could be selected as well. Oops, there goes an extra $10.95. AND, the waiter recommending a twice-baked potato. Bah, boom, another $5.95. [which in fairness is disclosed on the menu in a different location, but waiter made it sound as if it was a no-charge option on the surf and turf. AND the split plate charge which I don 't think was disclosed on the menu. Ding, ding, extra $3.00. Was this a waiter, who was overly up-selling or restaurant deception? Don 't know. As I said, the food WAS good. AND, the ambience [at least in the bar area, stay away of the hotel-ballroom-like main dining area was nice. Just beware the nickel and dime charges that the waiter won 't be disclosing to you."
