"The food was packed really well, and they included a recycled cloth bag, which was a nice touch. I ordered the Onion Kulcha, which is perfect for onion lovers. It was well-seasoned, soft, and absolutely huge, wrapped in foil as if it were a warm gift. I’m not sure which sauces were meant for it, but I tried all of them. Honestly, it didn’t really need any sauce, although I think a creamy raita could be nice for the leftovers. Next, I had Pani Puri. These cute little crispy fried puffs came in a set of about eight, just waiting to be tapped with a spoon to create a hole and filled with the little cups of ingredients that came in the takeout bag. I’m not sure which was which, but I taste-tested everything and mixed some of it together. There were pickled onions, a green creamy sauce, a filling that resembled stuffing, and a tangy brown tamarind sauce. There was also a small container of a vinegar-based sauce, which I’d never encountered before. While the vinegar sauce didn’t pair perfectly with my other dishes, I gave it a shot. Lastly, I tried the Lamb Korma. It was brilliantly spicy, creamy, and authentically delicious. I was so happy there was so much of it—I really didn’t want it to disappear. The lamb was tender and cut into perfect bite-sized pieces, and I devoured it using the same spoon I served the rice with. The sauce was dreamy without being overly oily. I can’t wait to try every variation of this dish. I’ve already made this place a favorite in my mind, and anytime a craving strikes, Rasoi will be my go-to! Do yourself a favor and go try it!"

Good option if you are looking North Indian Cuisie, especially Appetizers, Curries, and Bread. I didn't like the Biryani that much, and the meat in the Biryani, as well as their Tandoor options tend to be overcooked at time really depends on the day. I try to order different Curries and in my recent visit, I had ordered Veg Kolhapuri and Khoya Kaju. Both the curries tasted really good, and I am eager to try other curries they have.

Staff Excellent Food Quality Excellent Ambience Service Excellent we tried the lunch buffet. we liked everything minus appetizer options. There was only 1 non veg appetizer Chicken Tandoori and 1veg appetizer pakoras. There were 6 7 vegcurries, 2 non veg. curries, and veg noodles. Desserts Gulab Jamun and Falooda who in the world keeps only 1 non vegappetizer options on a weekend buffet which is over charged $20/person I will not try this place again. View menu

4 stars is just for food ....we did a quick take out on Saturday night. We had ordered paneer tikka masala and baigan bhaarta. Food was tasty and portion size was decent. When i went to pick up the food, the indoor seating seemed decent. May be worth a try next time. The hand held to receive payment did not work inspire of multiple swipes, so I had to do inside to make the payment and the pick-up didn 't remain a 'quick ' anymore. Invest in better equipment or train your staff not to bend the credit card to get it to swipe?

I recently ordered the Tandoori Khazana from Rasoi, filled with expectations of a great tandoori dish. However, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment when I discovered that the dish contained soggy vegetables. Upon receiving the Tandoori Khazana, I expected vibrant colors, perfectly charred pieces of paneer, and succulent vegetables. Instead, the vegetables appeared limp, lacking the desired texture and flavor. It was evident that they had not been in tandoor or improperly prepared, resulting in a rather unappetizing sightseeing

Sometimes, you don't realize that you've never left a review for a place you’ve been visiting for years. I've lived in this area since 2016, and I can confidently say I've been to Rasoi or ordered delivery from there countless times over the years. I absolutely love the Mixed Tandoor, their samosas (both with and without chole), and the mango lassi—these are definitely the highlights of my experience. The restaurant has a fun, club-like atmosphere thanks to its lighting, which I find quite enjoyable. What I appreciate most is that the head waiter always treats me with the respect I deserve as a long-time customer. It truly feels like my Indian home away from home. It’s one of the first place... Rasoi Kitchen in Journal Square is an excellent spot for Indian food in an area that's crowded with options. The interior is pretty spacious and it should work whether you're here with a group, or if there are few of you. We arrived a little early, which is why it took a long time for the food to arrive, but that's understandable. Try to be here past 5.15 so they've had time to prep. The butter chicken is fantastic. Hands down among the top three I've had in the NY/NJ area. The sweetness come through along with the creamy flavor, and they blend to create a really pleasant experience. Rice is included in the price, and even though the food isn't cheap, it is likely to last beyond a meal, cons...

I went to Rasoi with my parents for lunch last week. We were originally headed to the Iselin location but Jersey City was a bit closer to us and it was getting late. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. There was 1 other party when we walked in so we were seated right away. To our dismay they only offer the lunch buffet on Friday-Sunday. The menus still say they offer the lunch buffet on other days but the staff was quick to tell us the menus are outdated. For appetizers we got fried paneer and fried okra. Both were very tasty. They came with different dipping sauces which paired well with both dishes. I ordered the chicken malai kofta and my parents shared the goat curry. It took well over 30...
