"Workers were sweet. The food was some what edible. I had the brisket sandwich on jalapeño bread plate. The beans had so much chili seasoning in it. I couldn’t eat mine. If you like your potato salad made w a lot of egg and bread n butter pickles then you’ll love theirs. Its not for me so I did not like that either. The meat was reheated to the point it was Very dry… I couldn’t finish the sandwich. Can’t really comment on the bbq sauce. The beans had so much chili seasoning that everything tasted like it had chili powder in it… if you are wanting good ole fashion bbq this is not the place for you.. we won’t be back."

Great food and great atmosphere. It’s always great to have the owner talking to the customers. Can’t wait to come back! Always love supporting local businesses!!!

I don't know where to start. We stopped in while visiting from Maine. The food was awesome. We tried a little of everything and everything was great. We also had the great pleasure of meeting the owner Harvey. We will definitely go back during our next visit to the Shreveport area. Thanks again for the friendly service.

Went to lunch here with some coworkers and my first thought was “Great, another overpriced lousy BBQ place.” Boy was I wrong. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get and their Brisket was AMAZING!! Tender, juicy, and delicious not dry and bland like most places around here. My only complaint is that they need more parking. View menu

Do not waste your money on this place. The food was lacking flavor and seasoning, with the chicken tasting like it was roasted in an oven and the brisket being dry and rubbery. There was no wood or BBQ flavor at all. The green beans and potato salad were bland and lacked salt. Overall, a disappointing dining experience. Save your money and go elsewhere. We won't be returning.

I have always been a fan of this restaurant and I am delighted that they were able to move to the location on Fairfield. The food is consistently delicious and I appreciate the fact that the whole family is involved in running the restaurant. Harvey is a fantastic host and always takes the time to chat with me when I visit. If you are looking for great BBQ, this is the place to go!

I tried almost everything on the menu and it was all delicious. My top picks were the Now and Later BBQ Baked Potato, the freshly made toasted tortilla tacos, the brisket, the turkey, the potato salad, and the mac and cheese. Mr. Harvey is a BBQ expert and his wife's potato salad is amazing. I will definitely return for more Real BBQ the next time I'm in Shreveport. Thank you, Mr. Harvey! View menu

All I can say is WOW !I was passing through Shreveport, LA on my way to Virginia and stumbled across Ral BBQ and More..Well I was hungry so I ordered the brisket, ribs, sausage AND brisket burnt-ends. Sides were slaw, mac-and-cheese, potato salad and green beans.Every single thing was great, not good but Great! The person working there were so friendly and it was like I had been there many times.I will be passing back through in two weeks and will be stopping again.

Pops and Erica, catered my son's wedding reception with very little notice. Erica helped me get rid of the wedding jitters and assured me everything would be just fine. Well it was more than fine, the rib tips were my favorite! They delivered and set things up for a fantastic buffet line with yummy sides and even deviled eggs. Erica made the bride some beautiful chocolate covered strawberries. If you can think of it, they can create it! I highly recommend Real BBQ and More and will be going back soon to sit and enjoy dinner in their new home on Fairfield Ave. Thank you for everything! Love, Beth Mericle

"To sum it all up, WOW. Just WOW!?? We were told to come try the food by several people on the 318 Food Page/Group here on Facebook. The food did NOT disappoint ? we got the loaded Cajun fries, the gumbo, the pho, the fried rice, the stir fry noodles, and finished off with a king cake funnel cake.? The fusion and technique used to create these lovely dishes is outstanding. You can taste the love in each dish and you can tell they truly put an effort into everything here. Our server (apologies because I don’t recall her name) was so sweet, very attentive and efficient! Even when things got a little busy, she continued to offer amazing customer service. (As a former server and manager, servers have a huge impact on the meal/dining experience) her service enhanced the experience for us and just made the visit overall VERY pleasant. The Viet Iced Coffee she made was literally to die for and I wish I could’ve ordered a whole bucket full of it??? The location is kinda “out their” but trust me, it’s worth the drive, the walk, the bike ride, etc! Support local during the pandemic (well always, but especially during these times) Don’t let the negative reviews steer you away, I assure you it’s beyond worth it, and as friendly as the staff is, give them an opportunity to fix anything if your dining experience differs from mine! 5 Stars!??? we are PCSing overseas in less than 2 weeks, but trust me when I say we’ll be back before we go!?"

"Our reservation was for 7 pm? we arrived 10 minutes before. We were told there is a wait?asked about outdoor seating as it was available on a first come first serve. We were told there were several tables that had been closed out and they were just sitting. We decided to wait for our table.. we were finally seated at 7:17 pm. We get drinks and bread and for 15 minutes we wait for our server to come get our appetizer order and we go ahead and give our entrée order? appetizercame out quickly, but the entrees took about 45 minutes so we spent 30 minutes just sitting and waiting- server had not come by to check on us. We finally get our entrees and they were a bit salty. My friends entree was too salty to eat -we asked for another entree to replace the one that was too salty to eat and the server tried to explain its seasoned but we know the difference between salty and seasoned. 30 minutes of waiting for the replacement dish- still no food so weasked to cancel the order and pay for our current ticket. The server said well it?s already been ordered- so we still asked to cancel the dish and bring our ticket. Finally the ticket came we closed out and left? this was our first timedining here and will be our last. It was noisy but we were able to have decent level conversations. I would have liked for our dining experience to be better for the prices and atmosphere. We never saw a manager to address our issues. Wehad to go to dinner after our dinner!!!"
