"On July 25, 2020, I took my mother out for lunch at the Coffee Shop. We enjoyed a delicious tuna sandwich and a chicken souvlaki sandwich, followed by some cake. Our waitress was incredibly sweet and did an excellent job. I had read other comments about the decor being reminiscent of the 70s, and I was curious to experience it myself since we had our wedding reception there fifty years ago, on July 25, 1970, with around 100 guests. My sister also held her reception at the same venue. Back then, it was a popular spot for locals in Wayland. The place was just as beautiful as I remembered, and our photographer, Barbara Borman, captured our wedding photos near the trees, even though the owners informed us that we were on their private property. At that time, we were understanding about the situation, despite it being a bit frustrating. Thankfully, today, we felt welcome and had no issues with being on the property. We appreciated the comfortable atmosphere with social distancing measures in place. I truly hope this place remains a fixture in the community for a long time, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!"

I ordered a BLT on toasted rye bread. The salad was too soggy, the tomatoes were under-ripe and had a slight green tinge inside, and there was not much bacon on the sandwich. I was charged $8.45 for it and had specifically requested no fries on the side. Additionally, a cup of coffee cost $2.25.

Lovely place!! Food is exceptional, we had the fish fry and it was HUGE! comes with choice of potato, soup or salad and a big basket of homemade bread. Tartar sauce is homemade so is the ranch dressing and the soup. Service is warm and friendly, atmosphere is so nostalgic... Loved everything about it. Highly recommend. View menu

I ordered the steak while my dining partner chose the Philly cheesesteak. The bread served beforehand was fresh and soft, and the side salad, although small, was what you would expect. The baked potato was well-prepared, but the New York Strip Steak was underwhelming. It was a decent portion size but lacked flavor, tenderness, and was undercooked. The Philly cheesesteak was visibly dry and didn’t have enough cheese; my companion took one bite and couldn’t finish it. On a positive note, our server was friendly and attentive. However, I noticed that the single restrooms are not ADA compliant, and I hope there are additional accessible restrooms in the dining room.

I dined at the restaurant with my wife and my in-laws, and unfortunately, the experience fell short of our expectations. The only one who was really satisfied was my father-in-law. None of our meals were served as described on the menu, which stated that all meals come with a salad and a choice of potatoes or vegetables. I ordered lasagna and specifically requested a salad, but I didn't receive any potatoes or vegetables. My wife ordered the main dish with fries, and when I asked for more fries once her meal arrived, they brought out something that looked completely different.
