"We have ordered from this restaurant and visited multiple times in the past. Typically, the food is incredibly delicious. However, this time we tried the Reverends BBQ Meat Platter and decided to add some Beef Brisket. Unfortunately, the brisket in both dishes was extremely fatty and inedible. While I usually enjoy fatty brisket, the majority of each slice was solid fat, with just a bit of tasty beef on the sides. We will likely dine in at the restaurant next time, as I doubt they would serve such low quality brisket in person. On the bright side, the pickles and Smoked Chicken Wings were great as always, and the beans were delicious."

Everything was so delicious! Ribs are perfect, pork shoulder is smoked and seasoned just right, and the brisket melts in your mouth. The mac and cheese is ridiculous too, so good. Oh and the fried chicken... just amazing. View menu

Hush puppies were SO good! A whipped honey butter would have gone perfect with them. The brisket was flavourful; big portions. Also got a frozen bourbon blackberry lemonade which was excellent! Overall great place and friendly staff.

The Beef Brisket was thickly cut and seasoned beautifully, the Half Rack of Mopped Smoked Ribs was tender and moist, and the Creamy Potato Salad, Mac and Cheese, and Chopped Slaw were excellent accompaniments to the BBQ. It was incredibly delicious!

This is one of best BBQ places I’ve been. I do wish they had a corn on the cob instead of polenta and some cornbread with butter. The ribs are incredible, as is the smoked wings and collared greens. Simply excellent, you must try the fried chicken and the brisket. The chicken is beautifully seasoned and prepared and brisket had great texture and moisture. All these came with great sauce as well. I simply cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The restaurant is a bit out of the way in East Portland, but for any barbecue fan, it is well worth a trip.

Stayed in an Airbnb in the area and this place was recommended. We ordered take out and the service and timing were prompt, just as we had requested! The brisket and pork shoulder were terrific and we really enjoyed the variety of sauces. The grilled polenta didn't live up to the hype for us, tasty but not special, same with the mac and cheese. The wedge salad though was perfect! Portions were generous.
