Rico's Tacos - Menu

The food was incredible! Our server was pleasant and quick with service. The live music was fantastic! This place has quickly become one of my favorite local spots.

The food was outstanding! We had them cater a lunch for us at Annapolitan Assisted Living. The General Manager, Barry, was extremely helpful and ensured the food was delivered hot and beautifully arranged. Highly recommended!

We then opted for takeout, but the nachos were underwhelming. The cheese just glued the chips together and the flavor was off—perhaps they were microwaved? The taco was so small we could barely recognize it, and the meat was dried out, making it not worth the price tag. I’d recommend staying in and making your own nachos and tacos instead. I had the chance to visit an intriguing restaurant and bar today on a whim, and I decided to try their tacos. They offer a wide variety of flavors, but all tacos are served à la carte, with the lowest price being $4.50 each. Honestly, $4.50 for a taco feels a bit steep for this area. There are several places I would pay that amount for a high-quality taco made with exotic seafood or a premium cut of beef. Instead of spending nearly $13 for three tacos, I opted for a sandwich instead. As I mentioned, it’s a unique spot that seems to prioritize its bar more than the dining experience. The menu is limited, and overall, it feels a tad overpriced given the atmosphere and quality of the food.

Working in Annapolis for a few days, my hotel was 2miles away from Rico 's Tacos and Tequila. I decided to stop by cause I 'm a huge Mexican food connoisseur and honestly you can 't go wrong with Taco 's or Tequila. Upon arrival the decor appeared to be relatively new so I 'm assuming this spot hasn 't been open long, but the hostess was friendly and I was right away. I ordered the Chili con Queso dip as a starter and received it in literally about 3mins. It had a very strange texture, it wasn 't very well seasoned or creamy like a queso should be. I have held off about writing this review as I realized I wanted to think through my review before posting. I so want to like this shopping center Mexican restaurant. It should not be read that I don't like it either. More like I can't provide enough support to give it more then 3 stars. The food is ok. Not bad, but certainly not great. I have given it 3 chances and tried different things each time. Each meal is unremarkable. The food is either prepared fresh each meal or the kitchen is working in reverse it is so slow. We kicked off our meal with chips and salsa, flautas, and two house margaritas. The chips were light and crispy, and the salsa had a nice flavor with a hint of smokiness. The margaritas were excellent for just $8. The flautas were delicious, generously portioned, and came topped with tasty guacamole. Next, we ordered birria, chorizo, and lamb mole tacos, along with a chicken quesadilla for my child. I 'm gonna start at 3 and see if we can work our way up. They 've only been open for a couple of weeks, and they don 't have any happy hour pricing going on yet, so hopefully that will improve. Overall, I was very surprised to see a brand new place that was almost empty at 6:30 on a Tuesday.....Taco Tuesday, anyone? But when I came in, there were several empty tables and no wait at all. Rating is after 3 different visits. Once for take out, once for apps/chips&salsa and margaritas, and once for a full on dinner. So I hope I have a well rounded POV on this restaurant. Location wise, it could be a good mine, but in short they missed the mark pretty badly. I may be a little spoiled by the local likes of Visa Taco, Mi Pueblo II, Jalapenos, and Mexican Cafe. Overall, it feels like the spent way too much of the budget on the decor and bar, and not anywhere near enough on the menu and the quality of the food.
