Great food and service. I love the platter for 2 and the specialty cocktails are well thought out.

The service was satisfactory. However, the brisket was too fatty, cut into small pieces, served in a small portion, and heavily drenched in sauce. On the other hand, the cornbread was the standout item of the meal.

The most important thing is the 'cue and theirs was great on our first visit today. Pulled pork sandwiches on special on buttered bun could not be better. Nice sauce selection. Fast service; fresh hot fries Nice BBQ ambiance. Recommended! View menu

This place is a dump. The waitress alternated disappearing extended periods of time to avoiding our table. I got the brisket plate it was cold greasy and gave me diarrhea. I got a dessert that was 11 dollars and consisted of a piece of apple pie and ice cream. Lunch for two was $55 a rip off.

I needed to reserve a private room for a large group of coworkers and the staff at Riverside were very helpful and friendly, to coordinate the room and the large group of employees. Food service was excellent and food was served quickly and hot. The waitress was very helpful and served all our needs. The restaurant has a very interesting atmosphere with homestead era motif.

Here in Quincy for a quick work trip.. from Chicago so we lowered our expectations for the food around here. It was a delightful surprise to taste this food however. The ribs were juicy and seasoned, mashed potatoes were good, barbecue sauce was actually really good the wedges were good as well. Nice and crispy. The restaurant serves classic BBQ dishes, and our family particularly loves the pulled pork, cornbread muffins, and our favorite sides, which are curly fries topped with cheese and meat. My husband is a fan of the Smokehouse Burger, which features pulled pork as a topping. They have a good selection of beers and cocktails to choose from. The decor is inspired by an old farmhouse, which fits the theme, but unfortunately, many of the tables and chairs are uncomfortable and worn out. There's often uncertainty about the temperature of the food, and the service can be inconsistent. There have been occasions when we placed our order and didn't see our server again, with our food being brought out...

I decided to try the Angry Beaver, which was one of the $5 specials for the week. It was tasty, though I’m not a big drinker of that type of beverage. The waiter consistently brought out sodas for my boyfriend, and I noticed he remembered another customer's order, suggesting he’s familiar with the regulars. I ordered the brisket platter, which was said to be piled high on Texas toast. I’m not particularly fond of Texas toast, and honestly, it didn’t seem piled high to me. While it wasn't the best brisket I've had, it was still good. The sauces here are fantastic—my absolute favorite was the gold sauce, while the spicy and sweet varieties were also delicious! My daughter and I were in the area and love bbq so it was a no brainer that we'd stop by. The vibe is rustic and we liked it. They offer daily specials and had a diverse menu with lots to choose from. We went with sharing a platter and getting a kids meal for the toddler my daughter was caring for. On our platter we chose bbq chicken, brisket, corn, bbq beans and green beans. It also came with a corn muffin. The kids meal was pulled pork and mac n cheese. The food was good, but not quite to my taste preferences. I prefer more seasoning on dishes. The bbq beans had a tomato kinda taste where I would prefer more of a bbq taste...
