"Update: I recently visited and was quite disappointed. It seems this restaurant is following the same downward trajectory as the original location—thriving for a while, then consistently declining. What was once one of Country Guy's most anticipated dining spots has turned into a lackluster experience. The sandwich I ordered had hardly any protein; I felt like I was mainly eating the complimentary pita bread. The dipping oil for the pita was just that—mostly oil, which saddened us since the fresh pita and dipping oil used to be the highlight of the meal. As for the service, the staff could benefit from some training in the Baton Rouge area. A poker face may work at a casino or church, but it doesn't belong in a restaurant. If the "Mean Girls" look is the style they’re going for, I doubt even they would be proud. We hope that our last two experiences were just flukes. Back in January 2022, I would have placed this place among the top three Mediterranean restaurants in Baton Rouge. The Lebanese tea was delightful. While the restaurant is smaller than the original location, they do offer pizzas for those who aren’t fans of Mediterranean cuisine."
