"I can honestly say this is the worst pizza I've ever had. The first thing I noticed was the large pieces of canned mushrooms—who does that? And where's the beef? The description mentioned four kinds of meat, but I couldn't see or taste any of them. We also asked to substitute the green olives for black olives, but we ended up with no olives at all. And what happened to the onion? The pizza, as it was, had no flavor. I'm so disappointed because when we visited Gillespie a year and a half ago, we were told by several people to make sure to try Roma's. I'm here to tell you—don't bother!"

The food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. My only regret is that they close so early.

The pizza is delicious. We often order from Roma's, and their specialty crusts are always satisfying. Plus, the delivery is consistently on time.

Perfect for brunch after Sunday service! This community favorite is clean, the waitstaff is friendly, and they serve an excellent traditional breakfast! View menu

Our church held a dinner at this restaurant. The staff was friendly and kind, and the place was very clean. The service was excellent, and the food was served hot as well.

We've been buying this pizza for 40 years. There's nothing like it. I moved away 27 years ago and always bought it everyone I visited my parents. They passed, so now if I'm even close, I take the extra time and go out of my way to get it. I love this pizza.

The food was good; the waitress was polite and attentive. The prices were okay. The restaurant is clean. The only thing I don't like, and it's not the restaurant's fault you have to pay for street parking. The business should complain to the alderperson about this. View menu

No menu online for delivery, they removed them from every site. so if you call them you have no idea what they offer as well as pricing. makes no sense. there response for me trying to order a delivery without a menu was that i can drive there and look at the menu on their wall. great business strategy.

This used to be one of our go-to spots for pizza, but that’s changed. The portion sizes have decreased, the quality isn’t what it used to be, and the prices keep climbing! They previously had the best crust in town, but a few years ago they switched from homemade to store-bought crust. I really hope they return to their former style soon.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
