"We were in Chicago celebrating my son's bday. A good friend recommended this location as an alternative to the traditional Beni Hana restaurants. Unfortunately, we were all disappointed and left unsatisfied with our experience! First, the prices are high for the quality of food presentation. We asked if we could order chicken fried rice instead of beef fried rice as the upgrade and the server said absolutely ... but did not inform that each order was priced as a side item and not an additional upgrade. Aside from that, our chef did not speak to us one word aside from confirming our order. The fried rice lacked flavor and so did the beef, chicken, and scallops. At the end, I felt it was not worth the for a dinner experience. I hope whoever takes the time to read this realizes that it is not worth the money. And I will not recommend this location to anyone visiting Chicago ... stick to Beni Hana!!"

Love their food. Pricey but good! The gratuity is now added to your check no matter how big your party is.

Great food and great experience! It is nice they have private tables now so you aren't seated with strangers. View menu

Food was outstanding. Been coming here for many years. But today’s experience was top notch. The service led by Sam and his team. Much respect!

Food was good but service was not, especially for the price. We waited mins for a table even though we had a reservation, waited mins for our food to be cooked and another mins just to pay our bill.

The only reason I wasn't fully happy with it was because they did not have crab (which is the only thing I get) or tuna (which is what someone else in my party wanted, and the waitress didn't seem to care when she told us. View menu

One of our favorite restauarants in Chicago. We have been going there since the late It is the place to go for Japanese Hibachi in Chicago. It is all about the secret egg sauce! Get the Shogun dinner with a Super Duper Mai Tai.

Being fans of Japan in the burbs, we expected more from a restaurant in the downtown area. The location is nice, the ambiance was great, and the hostess and waitstaff were courteous and attentive. They were out of a few items, a bummer for the kids that wanted tuna sashimi. The show part of the experience, IE: the cook flipping utensils in the air-the steam train- several fires, doesn't exist in this place at all. He lit a small pile of grease up for a few seconds. Other than that, he just cooked food. No show to speak of, and the show is part of the draw for hibachi. Japan or Benihana put this place to shame. The food (shrimp and sirloin hibachi) was bland, and the golden shrimp was greasy...

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
