"I had a disappointing experience at Ruby's while traveling for work. After reading positive reviews, I was excited to try the food. However, my visit was a waste of time. Despite arriving at 6:30pm and getting seated with a menu and water, my order was never taken after waiting for over 25 minutes. Others who came in after me were served while I sat there. I eventually left due to the lack of service. The reason for this poor experience remains unclear, but it was definitely upsetting and disappointing."

This is our second time visiting this restaurant on our road trip. We also stopped here last year. We made a special effort to visit again this time, and we were not disappointed. The food was just as delicious as I remembered, and the staff was friendly.

Came during RAGBRAI '24 and the place was full but the staff was small. The staff was absolutely doing the best they could with what they had. Ordered a patty melt and the hamburger meat didn 't have flavor. Had the mixed sampler and it was okay. Small place but was loud in volume.
