"The treatment I received was deeply offensive, and I would never want to be a paying customer in such an environment. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. I didn’t behave inappropriately or cause any trouble; I was simply enjoying my time with friends. The way I was treated was hurtful and disappointing. I believe that kindness and thoughtfulness are essential in any business, and they should foster a welcoming atmosphere to attract customers. Because of this experience, I will think twice before returning, and I certainly cannot recommend it to others. I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience to prevent anyone else from facing a similar situation."

This fantastic local pub offers friendly and attentive service, along with fresh and delicious food. Enjoy a selection of cold beers, tasty clam chowder, and outstanding fish and chips!

The food was great! Our party of 4 adults and 3 kids all loved the food. We sat in the outdoor tented area, and even though it was a cold damp day, it's very comfortable in this area with heaters and tvs. Our waitress was very efficient. View menu

We ate a late lunch and loved everything. They are very accommodating for dogs. They brought a water bowl for our dog. We shared the Garlic Parmesean Chicken Wings. I had the Lobster Roll with curly fries. My husband had a bacon cheeseburger with curly fries. They have a delicious curry ketchup. Our server, Caitlin P was awesome. She was very attentive.

This evening I stopped into Rudders and was met with the kindest soul, Hanna. I was a fish out of water and she kindly welcomed me. I got to talking with her and was soon a fast friend. I also got to meet Caitlin who despite working a full room had a great spirit. The service from these two, unmatched. Especially when you don’t know what you want they were so fun to chat with. If you are in kittery, I highly recommend and be sure to ask for Hanna or Caitlin!

Just popped in for drinks and to stay warm while we waited for our table reservation at another place nearby. I was not impressed with the Amaretto Sour I ordered. It was far too iced down (there’s normally only one or two ice cubes, as it’s already strained lemon juice), skimped on the liquor, and didn’t include its staple cherries. I almost thought of bringing it to the bartender’s attention before deciding it was too busy and we would be leaving soon anyways for it to be worth the effort. I’m sure their food is likely better! I was not impressed by the food, it was just ok. The service was not good. We were sitting for like 15 minutes before someone came and ask for drinks; food took forever; I ask for a side of Mayo and it took forever (I was almost done with my food by the time I got it). I asked for a refill of soda and it never came, I had to get up and go to the bar and ask for it. The employees were there chatting and laughing and not really caring about the clients. It was a Saturday around 3pm so the place was almost empty (I believe another 2 tables). Will not go back; I can have the same average food somewhere else with better service.

Was looking for somewhere new to try with outdoor seating. Rudders did not disappoint! Clam chowder was awesome. Buffalo wings were spot on and were crispy just the way I like. We tried two different burgers one with pulled pork and the other with fried mozzarella and basil aioli. Both were so flavorful and cooked to perfection. Our sides were baked beans yum, and Mac and cheese honest review wasn’t my favorite but only because I’m not a fan of overly cheesy but some people, like my kids, love it that way. Great selection of draft and bottle beers. Service was great as well. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!
