"While the service was friendly, the food was disappointing. The birria lacked flavor, and the consommé was watered down. The beans were tasteless and bland. The prices here are outrageous, and sadly, we were caught off guard by all the extra charges when we received the bill. Almost everything comes with an additional cost. For our family of three, we ordered two steak fajitas and were offered a combo, which we accepted—unaware that it involved a ridiculous additional charge they referred to as “extra chicken” on the receipt, even though we never ordered extra chicken. When the fajitas arrived, they were loaded with onions and bell peppers but had very little meat. The bill then surprised us with a $6.99 extra charge for chicken. When we asked about it, we were informed that this is how the owner prices the combo fajitas. Additionally, there was a $0.99 charge for steak that we weren’t informed of when ordering. The server should have explained these charges upfront. Just be cautious of the pricing when you order, as these extra fees aren’t listed on the menu. As for the owner’s response: first of all, when you’re paying for food, it's important to not waste it—but we left all the beans on our plates due to their complete lack of flavor. My son had to force down the rice, as we didn’t want to waste our meal, especially since no refund was offered. We raised questions about the bill, but instead of addressing us directly, the owner had a young staff member try to explain the confusing upcharges, which are not disclosed on the menu. She also mentioned how the owner plans to keep increasing prices, banking on the fact that those who can afford to dine out will continue to pay—it's unfortunate. We also ordered carne asada fries for someone who couldn’t join us; you should be thanking us for spending our money at your restaurant. Instead, you come across as entitled. Unfortunately for your business, you risk losing customers due to your poor food quality and high prices. There are much better Mexican restaurants in town, and now more people will be aware of that."

Visiting Rapid City to see the Black Hills. Decided we wanted some Mexican Cuisine and found this restaurant. Truly authentic Mexican dishes and the service was out of this world. Highly recommended.

I ordered three tacos to go, along with rice and beans, which came to $16.07. The food tasted good, but I wasn’t given a choice of salsa; instead, I received a green sauce that I’m not familiar with. Additionally, I guess there were no chips and salsa included because it was a to-go order.

Chose this place because of the good reviews and we were not disappointed! There were 6 of us and everything we had was amazing. Their tamales were super, the sopes, the carne asada, the chips and salsa and even the rice and beans were absolutely delicious. I would definitely go back next time I'm in the area. Neat atmosphere and very clean. Well worth it!!!
