"One of my favorite rooftop in the city. I'm going there for 6 years but every time is better. The cocktail program is solid with a good diversity of taste profiles. Wine selection by the glass is great with some higher-end choice. They also have a selection of cigar that you can smoke on the rooftop. Staff is very friendly and thoughtful. Management is very welcoming and professional, always making sure everything is outstanding. I recommend that place for drinks with colleagues, a date or ju … – show"

Best views along fifth Avenue from their rooftop bar. A must see.

Great view at the most desirable location. The only downside is that the cocktails and food are not not that good.

Very hip happening vibes. Open air and covered with glass portions, lovely lounge music. Pricey but ample to eat and drink. Definitely a lovely evening spent here to remember. Thank you

Way overpriced for the provided ambience and service. Sticky bar, terrible unlit porch access, only vaguely interested bartenders. There's just no way they can justify $30 cocktails under those conditions. View menu

Chalet de Ning offers a cozy, seasonal, and festive atmosphere in the west wing of the Salon de Ning rooftop bar at The Peninsula New York. They also provide semi-private seating along with bottle service!

The service is amazing, the drinks are expensive (22$ , the views are nice and non-conventional. The best part is an outside terrace but you can spend 30—40 min at the bar waiting for the table to free up. Crowd is sophisticated and 35 . What else can you wish for?

The prices are far too high, the view isn't impressive, and the bar feels quite outdated. I went to meet some friends who claimed it had one of the best views of the city, but I’m not sure what they were talking about. The cocktails were strong, especially the Old Fashioned, which is about the only thing I could expect given the high cost. There are definitely better rooftop spots in NYC! View menu

Spectacular view and great drinks combined for this unique rooftop experience. Suggest a reservation should you want to dine/drink on their larger patio and yes they do bottle service should you be looking for that. The bartenders certainly know their craft and it shows as the easily navigate the crowd attempting to belly up in the small space by the bar. Definitely recommend if your doing the tour of rooftops NYC.

The drinks were decent, but nothing stood out. My wife tried the Ning Sling, which was inventive and quite enjoyable. I ordered an Old Fashioned off the menu, which turned out to be a mistake—it was mostly bourbon with ice and lacked flavor. Our main complaint, however, was the smoke! Even while seated outside, the smell of cigarettes and cigars was overwhelming for us. We're used to Cincinnati, where smoking is prohibited, so this restaurant just wasn't a good fit for us.
