"I have to say i have been here now 3 times after moving to this side of town. First couple of times no problem. This time was the exception. I place my order online Milanesa (Breaded skirt steak rice and beans salad and a couple of tortillas. Normally pretty good. I order this on my home from work today, pick up my order in my tied up bag and drove 10 min to my house to enjoy my dinner. Open to order and to my dismay only thing in there is my steak and my complimentary chips and salsa. I call the restaurant and explain the situation and was told i could come back. So inconvenient yes , but it happens. I drive 10 min back up to the restaurant and explained the situation again waited another 5 min and they bring out another tied up to go bag and it yet again is just another steak but not the complete order. So the hostess apologizes again and goes back into the kitchen to explain the mix up. Upon her coming back out and informs me that it will take a few minutes. At this point i ask can they just remake my order as of this point i don 't want a cold steak with warm rice and beans. The hostess then stuns me by informing me that if i wanted that they would have to charge me again to make me another one! I asked if she was serious in wanting to charge me for their mistake, she informed me that was their policy. Whether that 's true or not or maybe she mis-spoke or maybe she didn 't but i am the manager of a very successful business and if myself or any member of my staff made an honest mistake we would apologize and do anything in our power to make it right. Rather than make a scene i take my now completed order and drive another 10 min back to home and try to enjoy my now approximate 40 min cold steak and warm rice and beans. That tasted about as good as you can imagine. That being said i will no longer frequent this restaurant. If you can 't solve a simple mistake you don 't deserve my patronage."

I stopped in for a quick late lunch and was seated immediately. My waitress was very attentive and brought my drinks and food out quickly. The food here always satisfies my cravings! Food: 5/5

This was my first visit, and I absolutely loved this place! They've put a lot of effort into the decor, and it really shows. The food was reasonably priced and quite delicious. Since I live close by, I will definitely be coming back. Food: 5/5

The service and food were excellent, and the drinks were fantastic! I ordered the grilled chicken chimichanga, while my friend chose the California burrito. As for parking, there's a large lot shared with Walmart and other stores, making it very convenient. View menu

I Have eaten here several times and tried something different each time. Every time the food was absolutely delicious! Every time the waiter or waitress was attentive, friendly, efficient and warm. The artwork/theme is authentic and I plan to keep coming back!Food: 5/5

Service food was excellent! We visited on a Tues evening when it was packed. Only issue was the a/c ductwork. It had some condensation on it dripped COLD water onto one of our group.? (I'm sure the staff would have accommodated a request to move, but there were no available tables.)Food: 5/5

If you're looking for a raucous atmosphere where you can hardly have a normal conversation with your dinner companions, then Salsa's on Collins is for you. There's a pretty expansive menu for every budget. Service is slow because they're often busy and the wait staff is stretched thin. The patio is much quieter and is rarely occupied.Food: 3/5 View menu

The taco Tuesday I thought be good. The meat they use was literally dripping with grease. The whole taco was disgusting! I never ever had horrible food. Then they have nothing but American cheese which is not good on tacos but they advertise yellow. It's was so bad I think I call health department. I sorry and feel bad having to leave such negative report. I just want everyone to know and you can have you own opinion.

This was the most disappointing Mexican food I've ever had. The waitress didn't listen to my order at all, everything was all piled up together, and the steak was soggy. I asked for steak fajitas with onions, rice and sour cream nothing else. The sour cream was buried under the lettuce and cheese, the steak was half buried under the refried beans which was covered with more cheese. Honestly, asking for less food should have been easier.

"Had Foie Gras and Escargots for starters. Foie Gras was done to perfection with a little sweetness in the currant topping to blend wonderfully with the rich creaminess of the foie gras itself. The escargots were perfect. The light cream sauce with just the right whisper of garlic and fine strips of spinach richly supported the tender escargots. My entree was the bone in pork chop. It was superbly prepared, a nice light crispness on the outside and todiefor lush, tender, juicy meat on the inside. The apple compote accompaniment added a perfect sweet foil to the meaty toast of the chop.Perfectly done.Other entrees at the table included braised ox tail and the scallops. Both were expertly prepared. The ox tail was rich with a wonderful sauce that brought out the best of both meat and bone marrow, very satisfying. The white acre peas and fried shishito peppers that rounded out the dish were the right balance to the richness of the ox tail and were cooked to perfection. The scallops served atop creamed corn and english peas were also a delight. The scallops were good size, but extremely delicate and tender and the accompanying corn and peas outstanding. the pickled shallots were a real surprise adding a very inspired and charming savory element to the dish. Outstanding all around! While one might think it couldn't get better than this it did. Our service was provided by Beau, maybe BOW for his Bowtiewho was both our waiter and the sommelier for Matthews. His professional attentiveness and conversation was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone at the table. Bravo Beau!"

"Black Sheep is a great restaurant. The service is almost always excellent and this trip was no exception. Our waiter was great, personable and prompt. We had multiple happy hour cocktails which were of high quality and delivered quickly. The happy hour drinks are a great value. The Dusty Boot is my favorite and I hope it never leaves the menu. The food was good and tasty. The kitchen at Black Sheep is one of the best in Jacksonville. However the price for the food, even for the happy hour items, is getting out of hand. I have visited Black Sheep since they have opened. I’ve watched the pricing on the food increase over time and several items are now 30-50% higher than they were several years ago. Vegetable sides for dinner are now $7-8 dollars. A large salad is $14. These items used to be $5 and $10. The cheapest sliders for happy hour are $9. There is less meat on all three sliders combined than would be in a single small sandwich. The cheapest main for dinner is a $15 burger WITHOUT CHEESE. A slice of cheese is $1. One. Dollar. So $16 for a cheese burger and some shoestring fries. I know it’s grass fed beef but still! It’s obscene. If someone at Black Sheep is reading this, please, work on that menu and the pricing. You have slowly priced a loyal customer out of visiting your restaurant. You have good food but the value is no longer there. You have competition now, even in your own neighborhood. I love your restaurant and want you to win me back."
