"I got the gooey brownie and my friends got the snickerdoodle and their version of cookies and cream. All of them were absolutely delicious, super creamy, and mine in particular were super chocolatey rich. I've seen this chain open a few locations near me and the most recent one I saw was in Portland actually so I'm not sure if that's where it originated, but the one in Old Town Pasadena has excellent staff with young people that are super friendly and accommodating. Definitely coming back here again!"

The sea salt-flavored ice cream was disappointing, and the syrup poured on top ended up getting thrown away. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, though there was a considerable wait outside. Our server, Skyla, was wonderfully patient and charming as I tried all the amazing flavors.

Literally the nicest most unique ice cream I've tried. Had lavender honey and salted caramel. Both flavors came through so well and didn't fade whilst eating. Will definitely go back ?

I enjoyed the ice cream there but it definitely not worth the long line and high price. TBH, you could get some much better tasted ice cream from Trader Joe’s. Waffle cone is super sweet and doesn’t taste good. View menu

Truly inventive flavors that are everything you want them to be. We loved it. Don’t be turned off by a line, it moves quickly. DO be aware that this is a very expensive treat. Two, double scoop cones were a bit over 20.00.

Always a bit of a wait and the ice cream is okay. I think people return here because they always have unique flavors and they change every so often. It's fun to go and try something new but I would not say this is the best ice cream I've ever had. It's more for the experience.

I had a really unusual experience at Salt & Straw the other night. A young employee was serving me, and his attitude was completely off. Not only that, but he grabbed the waffle cone with his bare hands before putting the napkin on it—I actually saw him touch the cone without any napkin first. I asked for a cup instead, and he decided to put the cone back using his hands. To me, that was definitely a no-go. But that’s just my perspective. View menu

I generally prefer sherbets to ice cream, so I might not have appreciated this place as much as others. I did try the only sherbet they offer, and it was okay—just a bit on the salty side. One downside is that there isn’t much seating available, although it seems like they could fit some chairs and tables. Additionally, the slogans and descriptions explaining the Salt and Straw name on the walls are a bit confusing. But ultimately, you're here for the ice cream!

What an exciting spin on a classic. I had two flavors, honey lavender and marion berry, goat cheese with habanero. Ridiculously rich and flavorful, fresh waffle cone, and many pleased taste buds. First time here, and the staff was so helpful and offered samples of any flavors that caught you eye. If you're not lifting an eyebrow at the variety they have here, you're not doing it right. The ice cream is high quality and everything tastes fresh. Only wish you were closer! Highly recommended.
