"Horrible food and service. Never Again!. My family wanted to get some Mexican food last Friday night. They all insisted on going to El Fuego but I said, No let's support the smaller guy and visit. Samano's I had been there recently and had a decent experience. The food wasn't the best before but I was willing to sacrafice quality for price. This time we order and it was bad from the beginning. The chips were burnt, the salsa was tasteless with no spice. I ordered a combo plate dinner and my chicken enchilada was dry and sauceless, my steak was bland and tough and the hamburger was overcooked and burnt. I told the server/manager about these issues and she flat out said that's how they cook...read more"

Worst in Milwaukee. The Margarita came and it was the worst margarita I have ever had, then steak taco's came and it was the worst steak tacos I have ever tasted, the meat was not seasoned and the salsa tastes like Pace Picante Sauce from a jar..I will stick to 2nd and National for authentic mexican food.

I love Mexican and Samano's too. You must try the famous chimichanga. It is HUGE and absolutely wonderful. I have the chicken when I go there and it has always been good quality and good tasting. The margaritas are perfect and really creep up on you! They only come on the rocks, I thought I preferred blended but after I tried it I will never order blended margaritas again. Samano's will be on my map of good mexican in Milwaukee! View menu

In answer to complaint. I was working on the night in question and yes there were 2 girls at the bar that night. One of which is still a current employee the other her friend. They absolutely did not get served here, just came to visit after a party and have some food. The hostess decided on her own to call the police her motives are still in question but she also still works here. They have since buried the hatchet and all is right with the world.

food ever. - what? we wanted to samano’s for birthday dinner, we will never go back. eating was the worst we ever had. the margairitas were okay. they were so strong that we had to have water with them, as they just smeared tequila. the food came and the tortillas lubricated like the interior of a dirty refrigerator. I had chile relleno, taco, buoy, rice and what the menu chile verde called. the pfeffer in the chile relleno was not cooked. the devil was evil. it didn't have a soak. I mean, seriously, that's wisconsin! the taco fell apart on them because of a strange sauce. I managed to get the 3 small pieces of steak from the...Read more

The Salsa. The reason I decided to comment was because of the previous comment. Samano's slasa does NOT taste like it is out of the jar. It is full of fresh chunky tomato goodness, a hint of fresh garlic, a nice medium spicy flavor, and plenty of Samano's own secret spices. For my own cooking, I often go to Samano's just to purchase their homemade salsa to add the extra zest to my cooking that you CANNOT GET OUT OF JAR. I feel bad that this person had a bad experience, but it is my experience that there are few people that have such an experience at Samano's, because the staff, the atmosphere, the salsa, and drinks are unparalled in their goodness View menu

great food and good service. I have this place about a week. eating is always great, my favorites are chimichangas, cactus salad, various taco salads, grilled cheese and margaritas (oh, to the chocolate cake). eating is always the right attempt. the personal is great (especially felicia) and for the person who complained about the expired beer. they're wrong. they do not print any sequence data on beer. some print the date it was made (or one born on date). some don't even print it out. miller beers specifically prints a produced date. even if they have told them something else by mill, that is not true. their website does not say that everywhere, and...read more

fear and loathing at samona. I went into this restaurant with loving memories of the earlier meal I had eaten there. when everything was served and done, I was tragically disappointed. the waitress had a bad attitude from the beginning. that was strange because my party came to the restaurant in a great and friendly mood. during the meal, her anesthesia was almost unexistent. she sat and spoke to a native at the bar, instead of solving our needs. despite the bad service, everything could have been forgiven if it was as I remembered. it wasn't. first the bottle beer had expired a year. when the waitress said that she denied it, claimed it was a born date and said she had...read more

"We went to the packing house on Saturday for a celebratory dinner. My husband had never dined here before but I had been before but not for many years. Truth be told, I don’t think the place lived up to what I remembered. Our server was given our table due to someone else being sick or something. The server assistant was good but I think our waiter was a little goofy to be completely frank. He kept telling us weird tangents and talking about going to the dermatologist this week. Very odd. I feel like I know far too much about this man than necessary. Lounge band was decent. Bar staff was quick. Ok now on to the food. Our table had 4 diners total. We split some appetizers which included the escargot , which I felt was the best appetizer, the bacon water chestnuts were good as well, but the crab stuffed mushrooms I felt were too fishy tasting this time, and the French onion soup was so salty that we didn’t even finish it. Salads were decent but more lettuce than anything else, one tomato one cucumber on it. Bread I think was good that was served to the table. As far as entrees, I know you are a steak house, but my husband and I wanted to try some other items. I had the scallops which were tender but the linguine it came with was too buttered I would have preferred a sauce on it. Husband had ribs he liked those but the fries were too soft not crispy enough. Other diners had beef Wellington which I’ve never ate so I don’t know what that is, and a steak but she said it was kind of salty. I didn’t do a dessert I had an after dinner drink of a tom and Jerry that wasn’t made correctly or served in a hot drink cup. I guess I just remember it differently. It was overall decent but I think there’s better choices in town."
