"Not totally pleased with New Years Eve dinner. I had the eggplant the price was substantial and the taste was just OK. I do understand that restaurants can command a price increase on special occasions. Being an individual that has prepared food for dinner parties and have done catering I found the meal that I ordered I could prepair was significantly cheaper the presentation and taste was better then what I had. I do understand that resturants need to prepair presentations for all taste … – show"

Trained chefs that prepare food to perfection. Bartender made a good drink. Staff was excellent, absolutely loved the experience.

The food here was amazing! The atmosphere is great as well for both a business meeting or a date. I will definitely be returning for another experience View menu

The service was a little whack for the calibre of food and wine selection but it was an overall nice dining experience. The fried cauliflour appetizer is solid.

Sargasso is absolutely wonderful. My girlfriend and I went there a few months ago and we loved the brunch, specifically the takoyaki fries were amazing. We decided to come back again for dinner and it was phenomenal. Totally exceeded my expectations.

Definitely has gone downhill as time has gone by. Lack luster food with terrible service. The presentation of food is great but the taste of things or quality have been disappointing. They do have some occasional amazing different dishes but mostly just over priced. View menu

Had Sunday brunch at Sargasso. I had the traditional American breakfast with eggs, potatoes, bacon and toast. It is a little expensive at $12 but the portion was large and very good. Service was excellent. The atmosphere and no crowd was also nice. Will take pictures next time.

Really should be about three and a half stars. Interesting combination of innovation and execution. It seems like the ingredients are right, but preparation cost some of the taste intensity and full delivery of the food's potential. Worth a try, though. About half of our order was definitely worth ordering again, the other half, we're chalking up to experimentation.

"You’re stuck in Morgantown, Pennsylvania, a small town that’s mostly known for its universities and hospitals. Let’s be honest: it’s not exactly a culinary hotspot. As your stomach grumbles, you brace yourself for yet another meal that’s just meets the edible variety. But then, while aimlessly scrolling through Google, you stumble upon a place called Volcano Japanese Restaurant. Your initial thought? It’s probably as exciting as a sushi spot in West Virginia could be? Right? WRONG. Upon arrival, you step inside, and suddenly, it’s like you’ve been teleported to Legitsville, West Virginia. Population: you. The menu is a treasure map of sushi delights, authentic Japanese dishes, and intriguing drinks. Feeling adventurous, you order the Spider-Man 3 roll, fully expecting some cheesy, gimmicky sushi experience. Instead, what arrives is a giant masterpiece of crab meat, tempura shrimp, and other flavors so divine that you consider composing a haiku on the spot. Eager for more, you decide to leave some room for a second course and opt for the chicken teriyaki with rice. The portion is just right, and the flavors? Think blended, voluptuous, and savory. As you glance over at the next table, you spot diners receiving their order on what looks like a miniature carved bridge covered in sushi rolls. That’s when you realize you’ve discovered a true culinary gem, a hole-in-the-wall that’s actually a 5 out of 5 sushi palace. A spot you will be coming back to and raving to the homies about. The service? Top-notch. The waitress was so attentive, it was as if she could read your mind. The prices are shockingly reasonable for such high-quality food and an atmosphere that feels like a mini-vacation to Japan. So, if you’re currently lost in the void of Google searches, desperately seeking your next meal, stop everything. Make your way to Volcano Japanese Restaurant, and prepare for a dining experience that’s nothing short of explosive."
