"friendly atmosphere, excellent personal, exceptional eating! German beer options are plentiful in tap options and bottle. warsteiner was delicious, cold and available in 1/2 litre, 1 litre and 2 litre boat. the sour-bread was so delicious. the oso buco is huge, delicate and tasty. you have to try the sour wort balls! for those who are adventurous with their drink, a shotski is available. we tested it with whiskey and it worked well. only what was missing was a traditional kirsh or skyberry for the shotski. we will be back and already have several friends ready to accompany us. update. I went back a week later and tried the pork. it seems they are masters in consistent, ingenious eating and excellent, friendly service. they have to check this place."

Since the covid pandemic this place has turned into the late night hot spot in downtown Palatine. Popular place to grab last call…which is weird because it used to always close early. Oh well, Prost!

We hosted my mothers 90th birthday party at Schnell’s in December. The staff was very kind, helpful and extremely accommodating. Everyone raved about the food. The whole Schnell’s team worked very hard to make it a great evening for everyone, especially mom. We couldn’t recommend Schnell’s more. Thank you for being such gracious hosts!

3 of us had just dinner lately. 2 had pork carving and 1 had bark meat rouladin. the pork dinners were cold. a plate had a pig and a chicken carving. the spatzle was freezing. the bark rouladin dish was delicious but warm. the bar tender has taken over our orders. we were charged $11.00 for a beer that was never ordered or brought to the table. we informed the waitress, she removed her. very bad experience. with today's economic situations and restaurants that must be best to attract customers, this is really regrettable. there are so many other German restaurants to consider.
