"I'm not sure who is writing these positive reviews, but this is definitely the last time I’ll be dining here. I really want to enjoy this place since it’s so conveniently located, but every time I come, the food is either mediocre or stale, and it’s always overpriced. The Chinese dishes are consistently just okay at best. The yellowtail sushi was rubbery, looked gray, and had a strong fishy taste. I’m not a picky eater, but I had to throw several pieces away because they were inedible. The spicy salmon roll was mostly cucumber. If I wanted a cucumber roll, I would have ordered one, but I didn’t because they’re not filling. The crispy noodles were stale, and the soup tasted old. There’s nothing worse than coming home after a long day with an empty fridge, spending a lot on takeout, and only being able to eat a couple of bites. It’s disappointing, but for decent Chinese food or sushi, you really need to head to Kingston or New Paltz."

"The restaurant offers excellent food, exceptional service, and impeccable cleanliness - a model for how all restaurants should be run. It is known for serving the best breakfast in the valley, although I wish they were open a bit later. The chefs deserve their family time, so I understand the early closing. I highly recommend visiting this establishment as you will not be disappointed. The menu offers a variety of vegetarian options and the owner, Paige, goes above and beyond to accommodate dietary restrictions, with many gluten-free options available."

"I've been going to The Roost regularly for over 8 years (about once every other month) and it is reliably EXCELLENT. The food is fresh and the folks that work there are kind and provide fantastic service. It can get busy, but worth the wait. Their daily dinner specials are always worth a try and you gotta get there early to nab these seasonal specials or they sell out! Highly recommend."

"The Social is a hidden gem located off the main road. You have to drive up a nearly dirt road to reach a quaint house surrounded by cars. The drinks are expertly crafted and a major reason why we keep coming back. The campfire whiskey drink and the margarita are must-tries. The bread costs extra, but it is a necessary addition – don't forget to ask for extra butter, as you can never have enough! When it comes to dinner, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The grilled Caesar salad, while flavorful, can be a bit difficult to eat."

"Went to the kingston location where they advertised NY style pizza. Staff was really great but pizza was really awful. It was sour, soggy and mushy. Not at all crispy as advertised. Couldn’t even eat it. And the grease, wow. Maybe NY style pizza, but not the NY in the USA. Shame as there aren’t any good pizza places in Kingston. At least not a “NY style crispy pizza”. The best pizza I ever ate up here was found at the Kingston farmers market by Hares hollow. Go figure!"
