"The tuna salad sandwich was actually delicious! The salad wasn’t just tuna and mayo, there were also pieces of celery and relish in there (and it seemed like maybe egg? that added some flavour and texture. I had it with 1000 Island dressing which was great, and thankfully they didn't slather the dressing on just a light coating on the bread. Even though they loaded up the sandwich with filling, the slices of bread weren't huge, so $14 was pretty expensive for a simple deli sandwich, although obviously you expect to overpay at an airport. The cashier here was super nice and made my morning with how cheerful she was. I also appreciated that they broke out the tuna salad for me at 10:27 when lunch technically starts at 10:30. The line moved pretty quickly too."

This might be the worst Reuben sandwich I've ever encountered. The meat was so tough that I could hardly chew it, and I found myself swallowing bites that were almost unchewed. I definitely do not recommend it.

I was really disappointed! McDonald's would have been a lot better. I ordered eggs, bacon, and toast, but the eggs were pre-made, the bacon was strange, and the toast wasn’t even toasted. Shapiro's, you can do so much better!

The breakfast bowl was quite disappointing, perhaps the most lackluster breakfast I’ve had. Additionally, they didn’t inquire about my choice of bagel or cheese for the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. I’m giving it 2 stars since it was at least edible. View menu

The management is terrible. They frequently run out of food, and the staff seem uninterested in preparing quality meals or offering good service. I used to be a big fan of the original deli and regularly visited the airport location, but I won’t be returning there again.

The young lady at the register, Pearl, had a fantastic attitude, a warm smile, and a professional demeanor, even with a line extending far into the hallway. The breakfast bowl would have been improved with some pepper or hot sauce, so I’ll make sure to look for those on my next visit.

They close far too early. I've never had the opportunity to dine here, but I really enjoy the original downtown location. Even when I arrive just before closing time, they’ve already run out of all the hot meat dishes. Either manage things better or don’t bother at all. It's quite disappointing compared to the outstanding quality of their main location. View menu

This may be the worst deli sandwich I've ever had. I ordered a NY Reuben, and I couldn't even bite through it. It all fell apart because it was held together by fat and gristle. The girl at the counter could only say, "I'm sorry, I don't know what happened with that." It felt like a total waste of $20. It's unfortunate I had to give at least one star just to post this.

I just wanted to grab a cup of coffee, but the staff seemed really annoyed when I placed my order. One of them told me to come to a certain spot, and I was confused about where that was. When I got to the coffee station, the airpot was empty. I pointed it out, and she rolled her eyes at me. As I was preparing my coffee, I overheard some rude remarks from staff members as other customers approached the counter. One of them even asked, "You want something?" and I was taken aback. As someone from Indianapolis, I was really disappointed by the level of customer service here. Shapiro's has a long-standing reputation in Indianapolis, but this downtown location doesn't reflect that at all!

"My husband and I went here for lunch. I was pregnant, had gestational diabetes, and a craving for sushi. We didn 't know what it was going in but the woman behind the counter was super sweet explaining it (deconstructed sushi) and patient as she explained our options. The bowls seemed a little expensive so my husband and I both got the medium size. He got rice and I had salad greens. There were tons of options to choose from and I want to go back now that I can eat the fish! I was able to have the spicy crab mix and all the fruit and veggie choices. They did have a cooked seafood option, but I didn 't feel like looking up if it was baby safe. The miso soup was good too! FILLING for the price. I would not have been able to finish if I got rice and my husband said he was stuffed; but we both finished! Next time we go, we 're planning to split the large one to keep ourselves from eating to much! Great food, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and clean restaurant. If we hadn 't walked from my husband 's working parking may have been an issue, but that 's the same for every place in that strip mall. Got food again. My husband and I split the large. We also got the mango sweet coconut rice to try. It was good, but not my thing. I recommend at least trying it once. I would eat it again vit not necessarily order it on my own. We also tried the honey wasabi on the side of our meal. It wasn 't what I was expecting. It was sweeter and creamier. Still enjoyed this place and love that he and I can split a large and be full!"
