By far best shawarma joint in CU. Portions were monstrous for the price, service was fast and dining area was clean. Recommend the chicken shawarma bowl with spicy rice and all the veggies. Stuffed grape leaves were also stellar. Will definitely go again

Excellent halal food in the UIUC campus area. The food itself is great. I would definitely recommend trying their rice bowl. You can try with a lot of variations including but not limited to protein, salads, toppings and sauces and everything is worth it.

Used to be 5 stars, but menu price has gone up ridiculously (anyone who says inflation can visit the places next door which have not changed their price).For anyone interested in good shawarma *meat*, I can say that the meat is fine but not amazing.I generally get the hummus bowl which is really great. I love the babaganoush.

The food at this restaurant is delicious! The portions are huge and they offer a variety of side dishes and salads that you order at the counter. Everything is ready to eat. I tried the vegetarian plate and loved it, even though I am not a vegetarian. I would definitely come back if I am in the area again. I hope my nephew attends college here so I have an excuse to return. The hummus was the best I've ever had!

I LOVE Shawarma Joint to pieces. Just graduated and it's already my most missed place on campus. The owners their family members that work there all of the rest of the employees care so much about providing service that goes above and beyond. Good prices considering how much food you get in an order, and everything they offer is delicious. Try the lentil soup if you haven't already! Also, the combo is a VERY good deal.
