"This continues to be the best traditional Thai restaurant in the entire Chicago region. I worked as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Northeastern Thailand for two and a half years before moving back here for graduate school in 1992. I was introduced to this restaurant by Thai students in my graduate program who assured me it was the best place in town . They were correct and I was elated to have discovered a restaurant that had mastered both traditional Central Thai dishes e.g. Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Tom Yum, Curries, etc. and real Northeastern Thai cuisine as well . It also feels like a restaurant from Thailand in that it is a family run place, and you see the same people every time you come in year after year . For those unfamiliar with traditional Northeastern Thai dishes, I would recommend that you treat yourself and your friends to a special evening of exploration by sampling the delicious selections on their Northeastern Hot Spicy Homestyle Thai section of the menu. My favorites are: Larb made with finely chopped chicken mixed with fragrant herbs and spices, Nam Tok thinly sliced beef prepared with mint, cilantro, and spicy kii noo peppers, papaya salad which is prepared with green unripe papaya, garlic, peppers, etc., and Thai pork sausage and fried chicken. All of these dishes are to be ordered with Sticky Rice and many will come with spicy or tangy dipping sauces on the side. My wife and I have been coming here for nearly 30 years, and we 've been bringing our daughters for the past 20. We 've introduced numerous friends to Siam Noodle and Rice as well, all of whom have marveled at the flavors and the quality of the food. I could not more highly recommend this restaurant, and I hope you have the opportunity to experience their food."

Love the northern Thai options. Soups available as “dry”. So delicious! Nuanced flavors. Can’t get enough of this place!

Egg rolls are amazing every time! Food is always fresh. Not really a place to sit down and eat but takeout is a great option. Workers are polite

The best Thai food in Chicago! This place offers authentic Thai cuisine. Don't miss out on their special Northern Thai menu. I highly recommend trying the Nam Tok!

Amazing food! Try the Thai Sausage, Larb with a side of Sticky Rice some Satay slathered with peanut sauce! Yum!! A magical hole in the wall restaurant that continues to please. The fish tank is mesmerizing, too!Food: 5/5 View menu

I've been going to this restaurant since I was 6 months old. I'll be 31 this year. I highly recommend this place. The staff have become somewhat family to me and my family. Everyone is great and the food is absolutely amazing.

I ordered the vegan Panang curry. Overall, it was just okay; I found it to be a bit too watery. The tofu had a chewy texture that didn't quite work for me. However, the flavors were decent. The family that runs the restaurant was very friendly. While the food isn't something I would crave regularly, I'm looking forward to trying other dishes on the menu.

I visited the restaurant yesterday for a quick solo dinner. I ordered the extra extra spicy Pad Phed with beef and shrimp, as well as a fried tofu appetizer. The Pad Phed was so delicious that I completely forgot to take a photo after my first bite! It was served over rice, which is a classic element of Thai cuisine, and I loved it! I can't wait to return! Update: I went back and finally managed to get a photo! View menu

I have been coming to this place for Thai food for over two decades, they moved a few years ago but the food still tastes the same. Flavorful is how I would describe this place. Highly recommend the pad Thai, beef Panang Curry and the papaya salad the spicy level can be adjusted. The waitress have been there for a long time so it feels like a mom and pop restaurant. This place is not fancy very casual dining, good thing there's a parking lot

The best Thai food in Chicago! I've been a loyal customer for over 40 years, and the authentic flavors crafted by their talented chefs always impress. The noodle dishes are remarkable, particularly the Pad Thai, which is the finest in town. The carrot salad and egg salad are distinctive options that you won't encounter anywhere else. Be sure to try the rice dishes, especially the basil chicken and basil pork—they're absolutely exceptional. The iced coffee is also a highlight. You really need to visit this place soon; the owners run a truly prestigious establishment!

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
