"Tried it out because we were in the area. Decided to try the sampler, a portion of all 5 of their meats, 2 cornbreads with maple butter and 3 sides for 38 bucks. A little pricey, but a lot of food. I didn't really see any other combo selections or meal deals on the menu. Saw sandwiches, a la carte items, drinks. Maybe I overlooked it. Got our food fast, but they had just run out of mac and cheese. Got coleslaw, sweet potato casserole, and baked beans. Nice place with neat atmosphere. Not a lot of dining area. 5 sauces to try, all really good with a couple unique ones. Sweet, spicy, mustard, coffee and a pineapple. Jer didn't care for the baked beans, but I really liked their tangy flavor. Bread and butter was yummy, sweet potato casserole and coleslaw really good. Meats were flavorful smoked, but the brisket was a bit salty. Pulled pork was our favorite. Chicken was a quarter, not off the bone but tasty. Sausage great, Ribs were good. Compared to other places, we felt like we really had to work for our food, getting it off the bone and such. I guess places we've been before, we've picked our meats, and we never get ribs. Just too much work! Overall, good food, pleasant experience, but we feel we've had better for less money. We did bring leftovers home, though, but a slightly smaller choice of maybe 2 meat choices would have been better I think. Glad we had the chance to try them out, we certainly weren't sorry that we went!"

Wow! This is some of the very best barbecue that I have had! The brisket is delicious. When I make my way back to Peoria I will make sure to stop here again.

Food was delicious (due to my diet I can only eat specific meals). Atmosphere was what you could think of a classical American BBQ place, which was a bonus. Will certainly go back to try more things!

My husband and I both got The Kona, which was pulled pork, smoked pineapple relish, sweet BBQ sauce and white onions served with BBQ chips. We thought the flavor was great and it definitely filled us up! We ate the bar and the bartender was very friendly, and we enjoyed conversation with her. It was an awesome atmosphere!

I'm honest, the sides were better than the meat that's great for the sides, but a little sad for the rest of the meal. I felt like it was at least a little overpriced, got 3 ribs and about a handful of burned ends and 2 sides (both decent full paper shells) for $25 after everything was said and done. It tastes good, but it just didn't feel like enough food for my money, and a drink would have been extra. All in all, it's good. View menu

We came in for the first time tonight and we're absolutely blown away. The cornbread is the best I've ever had in my life. The brisket was super soft. The potato salad was better than my mother's. Emily made the best margarita my girlfriend has ever hadin her life. My daughter liked the food so much she was stealing off our plates. We will absolutely be back again. I've lived insouth Texas for over 30 years and this place absolutely blows ours out of the water.

"I would normally give 5 out of 5 stars for everything. I ate at Rizzi's last Saturday (1/27/24) and was disappointed for the first time. I have eaten here many times and love the place, the food, the atmosphere. It's great. I usually order the Osso Bucco because it is literally the best........falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. I had been craving it for over 6 months and finally went to have what I had been craving. This time the Osso Bucco was not falling off the bone. A knife and fork were both needed to eat it. Usually a fork will suffice. In hind sight I should have sent it back. My fault. The risotto was delicious. I did mention it to my waitress afterwards. Apparently she didn't mention it to any manager as I was surprised that no one came by to offer an apology. She didn't seem fazed by it. In fact she was incredibly overtaxed that evening with her tables. I've done the work and can certainly understand this, but anytime I had any negative feedback about anything, I would run it by a manager or owner to allow them to do some micromanaging of the problem. I will definitely go back. I'm going to guess this was a one-time thing and that the dish just hadn't been cooked slowly to get it to that melt in your mouth stage. Again, it was my fault for not sending it back or asking for another option. It's a shame when you consider the cost of the dish.....again, which I'm not complaining about. It's worth every penny when it's done right. Amended review: As you can see below, Bekim (one of the owners) reached out to me and invited me up to the restaurant to enjoy the Osso Bucco on him. I went up on Saturday night (after Valentines Wednesday) and it was already packed by 5-ish. I touched base with Bekim and went to the bar for a drink. When a chair opened up I grabbed it and decided to just eat at the bar. Alex, the bartender, made me feel special and gave me plenty of attention (although she was this way with all the guests). The Osso Bucco was delicious and cooked very well. I had a couple glasses of the featured wine and enjoyed them immensely. As I said in my original review, I would never think of not coming back to this establishment as it's always been a hit except for that one time. I commend Bekim for inviting me up to make sure I came away with a more positive experience and it definitely lived up to that. Thanks Bekim for a lovely meal."
