"Great food for fair prices, pleasant service, seating indoors and outdoors.I decided to get dinner here and was greeted when I walked in. It was around closing time on a cold day, so there weren't other customers. There were lots of choices on the menu. The fried rice and chow mein were sold out, so I asked the woman behind the counter what she recommended and she told me about the garlic noodles which could come with beef brisket, salmon, or pulled pork, which is what I got. The total was $15.21 after tax. Garlic noodles with salmon wasn't on the menu, but she said they have it.I decided to dine in and looked around. It was too cold to sit at one of the two tables outside and the cushioned seats around a table at the window didn't seem right for me. I walked over to the stools in a hallway to the out-of-order restroom and sat facing a wall of business cards and historical photos, some black and white. After about five minutes, the lady placed down a paper box full of noodles topped with a sizeable portion of pulled pork and warned it was hot. The pork was tender and tasted pretty good by itself, but the sauce really brought it to life. The garlic noodles were very garlicky and cooked just right so they still had some chewiness. Everything was just the right temperature for me. While enjoying my food, I noticed a few people pick up food that they presumably ordered online and someone calling to order, so this seems to be mainly a take-out place.Overall, I enjoyed my experience. This isn't a place where a gruff man with a beard will serve you a giant portion of food slathered in barbeque sauce, but they have great pulled pork and probably other really good food. I recommend visiting this restaurant if you needed some hot food on a cold day like I did."

The pork ribs, coleslaw, and beans were outstanding. The service was friendly, making it a wonderful experience. This place is a hidden gem on Sacramento Street! Food: 5/5

I was very disappointed with the food. The brisket was incredibly tough, and the sides tasted like they were just heated up from the freezer section. This is the worst BBQ experience I've ever had. View menu

Lovely local shop to get some bbq! They sell bbq as well as chinese food. My family got burgers and sides, everything tasted great as well as including big portions. Fantastic for the price. Lovely people working there as well :)Food: 5/5

Sadly I wish this place was better. Back when it opened some years ago the food was much better quality. I've been here more than I could count. The service is good, but the food is inconsistent. The chili use to be my go to order, but now the meat in it is a bit dry and too oily. The brisket is dry and cut into cubes, which I'm confused by. The potato salad is so-so. The smoked chicken tastes way too smoked. Again I really wish this was better.

My friend treated me for my birthday for the beef bbq platter that came with 2 sides and a corn bread today for $28. The restaurant is very casual with only 2 tables outside, 1 table inside, and 2 tall stools. Not a great place for a celebration but at least the food was yummy. There were a few people during lunch but this is more of a takeout place. They didn't give us any water even though we ordered so much food, but you can buy bottled water. I wanted to try this restaurant after reading about the owner in a BBQ news article. View menu

I decided to try the pulled pork sandwich with a side of mac and cheese. The sandwich came topped with a slice of romaine lettuce, and although coleslaw was supposed to be included, I chose to have it on the side. There was a generous amount of pork, but I found it to be just okay—nothing to write home about. The mac and cheese was intriguing; it had a rather unusual orange hue, and I couldn't quite figure out the flavor, which was definitely different. I was curious about how they prepared the barbecue, especially since my order arrived so quickly. I suspect the pulled pork was made in a crockpot. However, the highlight of my visit was definitely the woman who took my order. She was incred...

MehIn these post pandemic times I am not gonna be so harsh.... I've been to many places that real bbq happens. (Sunset Dist. Leon's one of them). Here in SF real BBQ is difficult to find. I mean where is the smell of the wood being smoked for blocks away. I smelled liquid smoke on the brisket and yes anyone can slow cook meat and put liquid smoke in it and call it bbq..... but the brisket chunks where the fat didn't melt off during the cooking stage is high proof that this was cooked in a slow cooker. Ooh well they tried. It was delicious but not bbq! The sauce was good and the garlic noodles meh! I don't think I was too harsh ... you be the judge. Hot links I had well it was cooked in 5 min...

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
