"We'd been meaning to try out this restaurant for sometime now and finally went there for a Sunday brunch. Being situated in Scandinavian House we did have to order a dish with meatballs in it. We started off with the Smorgasbord and the Swedish Meatballs. The former having a melange of different Scandinavian foods and the latter with yummy meatballs and gravy, very similar to the ones you get from IKEA! The two desserts we had were also pleasant. A princess cake and flourless chocolate cake. The princess cake was sweet with lots of different textures. The chocolate cake was very solid but very rich in flavour. The restaurant itself is almost canteen like with the furniture and situated between 2 gift shop areas. Service was pretty quick and it wasn't too loud since there weren't many other parties in there at the time."

Fresh, well portioned and authentic. Recommend the parsnip soup.

Lovely place, excellent food and service. A totally different dining experience. The Scandinavia House is one if my favorite places in the city. Movies, concerts, art exhibition and a shop with Scandinavian goodies. L Lo

Reasonably priced in the middle of Manhattan, this restaurant reminded me of Norway. Everything from the Danish Bread to the Norwegian salmon tasted great and looked better. The ambiance was nice and clean and the service was relatively quick. View menu

This is a wonderful venue with outstanding food and service. It offers a truly unique dining experience. The Scandinavia House is one of my favorite spots in the city, featuring movies, concerts, art exhibitions, and a shop filled with Scandinavian delights.

The experience was quite underwhelming. The food lacked flavor, and while the interior seemed to aim for a Scandinavian minimalist style, it completely fell short. The service was merely satisfactory, and the portion sizes were disappointingly small. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

The highlight of our evening, however, was the return of Diana—she is incredible! It's a shame that I've been banned from the restaurant for my review. As a long-time customer who has brought a lot of business to this place, I wish the owner had taken my feedback constructively rather than personally. View menu

Dined here tonight and received really excellent service and found all the food to be incredible. I recommend the mushroom risotto very rich and filling so it was appropriately portioned on the smaller side to leave room for dessert! Great atmosphere. Picture makes it seem somewhat fancy, but I felt fine dressed semi casual. Really lovely staff.

Came here for Valentine’s Day. The first two dishes were alright, but then I was served the main course dish (some sort of roast beef I believe) that was literally frozen in the middle. Not only does this show that the meal was improperly cooked, but being reheated from frozen from the kitchen. Then we waited for over 20 minutes to have our check picked up as we watched the server and host busy counting money from the register in front of us. Just overall a really off putting experience for us, which is surprising considering all the great reviews here.
