"Very popular place for locals. They seem to tolerate tourists but there are odd things about this place. Locals know to walk in and seat themselves but if you haven't been here before you'll walk in and stand near the door being largely ignored until you figure out that there is no sign saying seat yourself. The food is okay but it's nothing to write home about. The onion rings were mostly breading and very little onions. We had the shrimp and crab fettuccine and the shrimp were overcooked and mushy the pasta was overcooked and there didn't appear to be any crab in it at all. We also never got our salads with lunch and we had to ask for them."

"Having noticed that most of this wonderful restaurant's reviews are in French, I want to assure English readers that this location welcomes all visitors, services them extremely well, and is entirely worth any effort required to locate it. My husband and I came to this establishment through the recommendation of our guide Nadege [Ze Chauffeur] and an excellent recommendation it was! We arrived for a late lunch (Nadege had called ahead) and found that a table had been arranged for us under an umbrella on the grassy hillside adjacent to the lovely village church. The rural Basque landscape that we enjoyed while dining added even more pleasure to the meal. While my husband tried a dish of very tender beef with vegetables and a flavorful sauce, I ordered pork in an exquisite sweet and sour sauce arranged artistically amid seasonal vegetables. Menus are tied to the season and the availability of local products. Our desserts were beautifully presented a large profiterole for my husband and a tarte tatin revisetee for me. Both were exceptional. This is a fine dining experience for a moderate price. Nadege told us that for many years the chef had run the best restaurant in Biarritz, but had decided to change scenery and work from this rural village. Certainly happy that she knew of its existence because our meal was the best that we had during our two week western France visit, and we had a number of truly superb meals."

The food was satisfactory but didn't quite impress me—it earned a solid three stars. I do want to highlight the Double Cheeseburger, which was the standout dish and definitely worth trying. On the service side, I found it lacking, which is why I rated it only two stars. The staff seemed a bit disorganized during my visit, which impacted the overall experience. As for the atmosphere, it was average, landing at three stars. While it was a nice setting for dining in, it didn’t translate into a takeaway environment. Overall, if you're in the mood for a filling meal, particularly the Double Cheeseburger, this place can satisfy your hunger—but be prepared for a bit of a wait if you choose to dine in."

"Worst chinese food I've ever had. I have never seen curry shrimp that looked like this. It was not spicy and seemed to be the wrong order. I was told I could return and they would give me some hot mustard. It was very very bland. The shrimp egg rolls were more like oil with shrimp. My first and last time there.
