"Not what I was hoping. The food was fine. The tiramisu was a little too rich and the cannolis weren’t the best. The meatball app we tried didn’t come out hot. I will say the pastas were cooked perfectly though. Our app came out before our drinks and our garlic bread came out after our entrees. The garlic bread was greasy and something I could make better at home. The server forgot to put in one of our drinks and everything just moved slow service and bar wise, but the food came out really fast. Cadence seems to be an issue they need to work through. Because this is the sister restaurant to Beck, I would have expected much more."

Loved all of our entrees, but the cannolis were weird. Filling was not traditional and they had a fruit sauce drizzle. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Amazing. The pasta sauce? A+, I want the recipe for their vodka sauce... the pasta? Fresh. The gelato? To die for. The salad? Ok it was generic but not bad Parking: Had to drive around a bit to find street parking. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30

Very authentic Italian hand tossed pizza. They did have a gluten-free option but they said they don't have that on hand all the time. So it is the luck of the draw for that. Very friendly staff an no waiting! Worth checking out, just don't expect Americanstyle pizza. This pizza is very dry with very little sauce. View menu

Tasty food, quick/good service! Just be aware that they have a rotating menu, for example I went there expecting to be able to get a chicken parmesan but they no longer had that or what Google said was their three top dishes. Was still tasty though, just have to be aware of the possibility. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

The food was excellent. We had the Lasagna and Rigatoni alla Vodka with sausage. Apps we had meatballs and zucchini something. Both excellent. Great service and atmosphere. Reason for only 4 stars... No bread served with your meal. First Italian restaurant I've ever eaten at that I didn't get bread. But... I would eat here again. I'll just sneak in my own bread Service: Dine in

We took a pizza back for later and yet another home-run! Everything is a la carte so you pay a bit morethan some places but WELL worth it!!! Enjoy when you get there. Great service as well. I had an incredible dining experience at this Italian restaurant. The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was inviting. The price per person ranged from $30 to $50, which was well worth it for the quality of food. I highly recommend trying the Lasagna and Spaghetti and Meatballs, Burrata, Fried Artichoke Hearts, and Baked Rigatoni. Overall, I give this restaurant a perfect 5-star rating for both the food and service.

Food was great but I cannot give it five stars. Service was fine, our waitress was nice enough but pretty dull to be completely honest. Atmosphere was fine, was expecting a little bit more fine dining experience but my 4 star review still reflects thisrestaurant as above par. We traveled from depoe Bay and would honestly still say it was worth the drive. I ordered the lasagnawhich I found to be moist and very cheesy, lots of meat and the right amount of marinara. My wife had the pasta with Manilaclams and that also was pretty decent.

"Clearwater: A Recipe for Disaster Let me start with this: Clearwater in Newport is in dire need of a wake-up call. The only thing clear about this restaurant is that it desperately needs the executive chef to reassess the capabilities of the kitchen staff. My experience was nothing short of a culinary catastrophe, and the responsibility falls squarely on the leadership in the kitchen. After an agonizing wait of nearly an hour and 45 minutes, I was finally seated upstairs in the bar. By that time, my dining companions had already abandoned ship, but I, naively optimistic after reading glowing reviews, decided to tough it out. That was my first mistake. The surf and turf, a dish that should have been a showcase of fine dining, was a disaster on a plate. When someone orders filet mignon, giant prawns, and homemade angel hair pasta in truffle oil and Parmesan cheese, they expect those ingredients to shine. Instead, I was served a dish so drowned in sauce that it was hard to tell what I was eating. The filet mignon, which should have been the star of the meal, was smothered in a gelatinous mushroom gravy that had the texture of something left in a double boiler for hours. What was supposed to be a mushroom sauce topped with crispy fried onions was instead a diner-style gravy with no fried onions in sight. The prawns, meanwhile, were buried under a port wine reduction that was so cloyingly sweet it could have passed for dessert. The balance of flavors was so off, it was practically a culinary crime scene. A plate of cottage cheese smothered in ketchup and drenched in maple syrup would have offered better balance. Let’s talk about that port wine reduction. Port is already a sweet wine, and reducing it only intensifies that sweetness to an almost unbearable level. To then drench delicate prawns in this syrupy mess is nothing short of culinary vandalism. Pairing this with truffled angel hair pasta only compounded the disaster. The rich, earthy truffle was completely overpowered by the sugary sauce, leaving the dish in complete disarray. As if things couldn’t get worse, the mashed potatoes were served cold. Not lukewarm—cold. This is amateur hour, plain and simple. The cook must have plated the potatoes first and then left them sitting while everything else was prepared. By the time they reached the table, they were as appetizing as leftover takeout. In summary, this was one of the worst $52 meals I’ve ever had the misfortune of encountering. Clearwater needs to seriously reevaluate their kitchen operations, starting with the basics of balance and timing. Until then, I’d recommend steering clear of this culinary shipwreck."
