"A MUST DO! If you come here on Sundays, Parking at the Meters is FREE! 4 STARS for the Food but an extra Bonus Star for the Very Cool Place! It's Time to jump into The TimeMobile scour the Earth take you to places from a different time that you won't believe exist. We have set the dial to the future to the year 2300 in the Brattle Square section of Harvard Square in Cambridge Ma. We've landed at Spyce. This is the Restaurant of Tomorrow that exists Today. Your meals are prepared by Robots not Humans! Everything here is fully automated. Move over chefs you've been replaced by robots. Well not just yet! LOL! This is Spyce's second location; the first one is in Boston. Spyce was developed by some high tech MIT Students. Step into the establishment you will see a clean modern design space. Enter the open cubicle to an iPad where you select your healthy food items choices. Add your options move on to the next screen then pay Sanitize. Then walk over watch the Magic begin! Your food bowl goes on a conveyor belt the assembly line roller moves your bowl to various stacked food bins. Your selected choices drop down from the Food Bin into the bowl then the bowl moves onto the next Food Station. When all the ingredients have been added assembled; it's off to the Cooking process with no Human Intervention. It's a lot of Fun Very Cool watching the whole dynamics take place! There are some real people in here who actually give you your food beverages. They also serve alcohol. So it's not totally run by robots. So how does Robot made Food taste vs. Human made Food. So far us Humans are still The Kings of the Kitchen but for how long? I don't know! LOL! It's Cool to see how restaurants will be evolving using these concepts in some form in the very near future. Robots helping with Food Prep Cooking will be dominating the Food Trends to get the Food out Faster to customers. I got the The Big Biang which is Ramen Noodles, Chili garlic sauce, Roasted broccolini, Pickled red onions, Sesame roasted mushrooms, with a Sesame chili spice blend. It was Healthy Good! If you are in the Cambridge area be sure to stop into Spyce have something to eat see a Real Robot Restaurant in action! Techies Fans of the 60's Futuristic Cartoon The Jetsons will go Nuts in here! Is sweetgreen going to open a location here? There's already a sweetgreen nearby, but now Spyce only offers sweetgreen salads. I used to enjoy their bowls, especially the Presto, but I'm not interested anymore.

The restaurant is not the same since it was acquired. The food is now much more expensive without any improvement in quality. Additionally, I found black particles in my food that didn't seem to belong in the dish.

I was pleasantly surprised by the unique robotic concept at this restaurant, but the human chefs certainly did an excellent job with the ingredients and dishes. I ordered the bungalow and was impressed by the generous portion size, which allowed me to enjoy it over two meals. View menu

I recently visited a restaurant with an automated salad bar and was intrigued by the concept. I decided to try their hot salads and opted for the Mesa bowl with grilled salmon. I was pleasantly surprised to find that all the ingredients were served at the perfect temperature. The portion sizes and flavors were well-balanced, with no toppings overpowering the dish. While the bowls are a bit on the expensive side, the quick service and delicious salads make it worth it if you're looking for a tasty meal without a long wait.

I had a delicious and healthy meal at this restaurant! I ordered a harvest-style Asian bowl with mushrooms, Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, shredded root vegetables, and edamame, all topped with a Hoisin-based sauce. The flavors were rich but could have used a touch of brightness from parsley, cilantro, or a lime wedge. The food was delivered to my hotel lobby, but there was a delay and it arrived cold as there was no microwave in my room. Despite that, I still found the meal very enjoyable and felt nourished after eating it. View menu

(Laughing) This place has a robotic kitchen and I don 't know what kind of draw that has for most people. So you have to ask yourself if you think a machine can do as good a job as a human, at least for this kind of work. We have found the answer is yes . My wife and I have been here about five times now and we both really like it because the food is tasty, affordable, and the atmosphere in both indoor and outdoor seating is pleasant. There is no loud obnoxious music. We usually order the All Mi or Golden Greek salads. One orders their meal via tablet computers that are setup near the entrance to the restaurant I guess they are Apple iPads. So one can infinitely customize the salads with var...

A pretty standard health conscious spot with customizable bowl/salad options and a large, pretty restaurant space. Prices are on par with competitors, but Spyce tends to offer more Asian inspired flavors. This location also features a cocktail bar with drinks under $10 low for this area! Have not tried them yet, so cannot vouch. Spyce's claim to fame is that orders are prepared by machines instead of people. I'm personally very neutral about the automation feature. It feels gimmicky, especially when there is not a reduction in human labor. The store has the same amount of employees as peers, and while they are all very nice and friendly, they hand bowls out to customers, deal with complaints...

"Great casual fine dining experience in a quiet Cambridge neighborhood.Took a visit here for dinner on a Saturday night. Its casual and rustic interior blended in perfectly with the atmosphere of the neighborhood, and our servers were very welcoming. We were initially planning to do the tasting menu, but the regular a la carte menu seemed too good to miss. We ended up ordering a bunch from their regular menu which turned out to be the right decision. The optional focaccia and rye bread with sweet scallion butter was an excellent start to the meal. From the appetizers, we had the kohlrabi cabbage, country terrine, and the scallop crudo. Topped with a mélange of earthy and floral ingredients, the scallop crudo was my favorite from the appetizers. Each bite was creamy and flavorful yet inexplicably light. Sprinkled with cranberries and spiced seeds, the kohlrabi and cabbage salad was also delightful. I especially loved the spiced seed toppings which added the right amount of nuttiness and crunchy texture.Saffron bigoli with leeks and clam sofrito had a slightly boring flavor profile, but the pappardelle verde with lamb sugo was phenomenal. I’m usually not a fan of mint toppings, but it managed to become a perfect complement to the lamb sugo. Subsequent 3 entrées were also amazing. Japanese-inspired soy marinated cod was perfectly tenderized, and its delicate texture paired well with the carrots and leeks soaked in dashi. Forking a concoction of chimichurri sauce, garlic purée, and grilled spring onion with tender pieces of beef teres major was also very satisfying. We finished off the meal with the carrot cake sundae and the lemon poppyseed cake. The dessert section lacked refined taste, but we still appreciated their effort to put something unique and interesting. Overall, a really enjoyable dinner experience at a reasonable price. Would definitely come back some day to try their tasting menu.Parking: Street parking available on Huron Ave Concord Ave"

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
