"First time to this local fave eating place (I heard from the locals). It was brunch, so nothing super fancy. I just got a burger with no bun and one of from our party of people, who got the Rueben moaned that the meat inside of it was not tasting great. They shaved her meal cost off the bill because of it, atleast. I will have to visit here again for a more thorough review, however the service was very personable and friendly and the pricing was on par with the menu being offered."

My family had a terrific reunion lunch here this weekend. Solid menu is well made, nice selection of microbrews and pleasant service. A favorite place for us when in town with family.

Made a quick stop on the way to Lawrence, KS. Wasn't driving so I had an adult beverage. Bartender was really nice. Bevy was good. Looks like a great place to hang out and watch sporting events.

Update: Two months later, Stables did respond… I’ve been a patron of Stables for over 20 years, but tonight was quite disappointing. It cost $80 to feed three of us, which seemed excessive. We ordered two sandwiches and some alfredo, but the portions were smaller than I expected. On top of that, there was an extra charge for everything. View menu

Went there with friends who suggested it and man we were not dissatisfied! We started off with the onion rings and WOW! they are much more than regular Onion Rings, you gotta try em. I had the Reuben Sandwich with Tator Tots, absolutely amazing! We'll be going back there, it's a great place to go with friends or family or just date night with you and your wife, we loved it!!!

Horrible service. Waited well over an hour for our food around lunch time on a Monday, only a couple other families dining in. Even the people that came in quite a while after us got their food first. No apology for the wait and all they did was comped 2 of our sodas. Very disappointed in the service we received. Update: Manager is incredibly friendly and made things up to us. We gave it another chance and the food was very good. Will likely go back again.
