Nice in every way! The service is amazing and so friendly, the wine, the food, the atmosphere.... I think it's the best hidden jewel and I loved it so much. Definitely go and support You this amazing restaurant they do an amazing job!

We live in South Lake, and Stonefly is by far our favorite restaurant. It’s a bit of a drive from town, but it's a beautiful one. During our two-day stay in Markleeville due to an RV breakdown, my wife and I had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful staff at Stonefly. They were the first people we turned to when we needed to borrow a phone, as we had no cell service. Everyone was incredibly kind, and we truly appreciate their hospitality. You all are fantastic, just like your restaurant. Thank you!

We stopped by this restaurant after our hike, and it was such a delight! The atmosphere is stunning, especially the lovely patio. The food was fantastic—my salmon was cooked to perfection, the wedge salad was just right, and the desserts were excellent. The service was genuinely warm and efficient. Plus, they have a great appreciation for puppies! We will definitely return.

Wow! I have to agree with every review. Stonefly is a restaurant to add to your lists. The food and service was fabulous. And we loved how it was situated on the Main Street, but still quaint. We loved it so much that we made our reservations for two weeks out. Definitely recommend making a drive if it's not on your route. You won't be disappointed with the food and ambiance. What a memorable evening celebrating two 70th birthdays! We had a fantastic table, but the sun was a bit much, so the staff promptly brought us an umbrella for some shade. Our meals were delicious, and we brought two bottles to toast the occasion; they were very accommodating in uncorking them for us. The service was excellent, even though the restaurant was quite busy. My husband ordered the pork chop, something he rarely gets when dining out, and he declared it was the BEST he’d ever had! This is such a charming spot in Markleeville, just a 40-minute drive from Minden, and definitely worth the trip!

A large dining area in a cute, tiny town. Call for reservations because it is a popular restaurant and for good reason. Food was amazing. We loved the special drink then, a Sangria with grapefruit. And make sure to order the barbecue cauliflower appetizer. It was amazing and draws again for a second time, so we could order it again. We also love their wooden fire pizzas enjoyed sitting outside on their pleasant terrace. Thank you to the friendly hostess who we both had wonderful, friendly servers. It is a culinary experience, so do not come with expectations to be in and out. Come with family and friends after a day to explore the nearby scenic area to relax. We absolutely love this fabulous restaurant. I'm so glad that they're open more of the year. They can't go that long without having their Marsala mushroom and polenta appetizer it's a beautiful setting winter and summer at supper is the best so he can sit outside winter. Super cozy inside with the pizza oven going. They use fresh ingredients and prepare everything perfectly. The staff is delightful and the ambience just tops it off. I can't say that I've ever had anything that I haven't liked here. I've had the scallops. I've had the watermelon salads. I've had this peach salads. I've had the scallops. I've had it pork chop.
