"I recently visited Freight House Restaurant with a group of ten for lunch, and it was my first experience there. The menu offered a wide variety of options, ensuring that everyone could find something to enjoy. Each person at our table ordered different dishes, and we all loved our meals. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The location, right next to the railroad tracks, added a unique charm to the dining experience. Despite the size of our group, our food was served in a timely manner. Many of us indulged in dessert, sampling their homemade cakes, with some even taking slices home. While I didn’t try any, I've heard that any cake you choose is fantastic!"

"My family and I have been to eat here many times and have never experienced anything bad here. The food is always amazing here. With this being said we arrived to eat at 7:45 we came from out of town so we checked google to see what time they closed and google said 9. We arrived and the first thing said was that we only had 10 minutes to order our food because the cooks were leaving. We found this very odd seeing as it was not even 8 p.m yet. We then ordered our food and the service was terrible. They had already thrown out all the drinks so we were limited to beer and water and were rushed to eat as the staff was turning lights and televisions off. We had not even gotten our food yet when they locked the doors and turned the lights off. When my drink was empty the waitress rolled her eyes as she looked at her coworkers, I don’t know if this was because of the inconvenience of me asking for my drink to be refilled or what but it did not come of with the best customer service. I love to eat here so seeing as how tonight went it was very disappointing. I leave this review in hope that if we were mistaken and the closing time is earlier than google said then some light can be shed on the issue and it can be Corrected. If we were not mistaken on the closing time I hope that this review can shed some light on the staff’s lack of customer service and it can also be corrected. No ill will towards pizza Ed’s I will definitely be back for the food. That Alfredo pizza is like no other!"

"I wasn’t impressed with the peaches or plums. Neither had a good flavor and they were overpriced. Apple hand pie was dried out and disgusting. I had to throw it away. Also didn’t care for employees telling me not to squeeze the peaches when there was a sign right in front of me. I CAN read. Won’t be going back."

However, the service was attentive and friendly, earning it four stars. The atmosphere was decent, creating a comfortable setting for a meal, hence three stars. Overall, I was let down mainly by the food, but the service was a bright spot in the experience."

"This has become my favorite restaurant because of the food service and atmosphere. The cheesy wedge potatoes are wonderful and the most different new taste for potatoes. I love their grilled lemon peppered catfish fillet which is my favorite choice when I go there along with the wedged potatoes and sauteed mushrooms. They also have a huge salad bar. There is a lot of 50s memorabilia throughout the restaurant. You check out in front of the 1957 red Chevrolet. Very unique and dining experience"
