"I was visiting family from out of town, and my aunt and a mutual friend wanted to grab some sushi. I tried the rainbow roll and a California roll. While they were similar in style and flavor, both were expertly prepared and delicious. We also ordered a chef's choice platter to share, which included a variety of sushi pieces, such as shrimp and three different types of tuna. The prices were surprisingly reasonable considering the quality of the sushi. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. If you enjoy sushi or seafood in general, I highly recommend giving this place a try. It's definitely worth it!"

If you haven't been to this sushi place you have to. This place did not disappoint and was very surprised by the sweet technology this place had, waitresses and staff were wonderfully friendly.

As a family of vegetarians, we absolutely love this place! The staff is always friendly and relaxed, the vegetables in the sushi are always fresh and vibrant, and we can't overlook the fantastic selection of Japanese beer and sake!

Best sushi around! We gladly drive past Brandon and Tampa sushi places to come here. The General and his staff are so friendly and the food is amazing! I love the electronic ordering menu as you can see what you are ordering. Or you can grab a sample fromthe conveyor belt. This place turned me into a sushi eater. I?ve tried others but they just don?t compare.

Staff were nice and friendly. They seem to have enough knowledge about menu items. Their Avocado bomb with salmon is highly recommended. They also have that in Tuna as well. Only reason I am giving 4 star because we had to ask for spicy mayo several times to waitresses and finally I had to walk up to the counter and ask for it. Overall not bad. Food is little bit expensive for its surroundings. View menu

Ok I had good time. The sushi were great tasting. I do recommend the avocado bomb they had the night I was there. It may be a seasonal or limited time item but please ask them if they can make one for you. All the sushi you see in my pics are great tasting. And the salmon we had with my dear friend and cousin. So, go next weekend to weekdays whenever you want. And have yourselves a great time guys.

My family wishes we had visited this place sooner! My mother loves Hwe Dup Bap, a Korean rice dish with sushi and vegetables which includes sesame oil and Cho gochujang to mixed together. She loved it! I ordered donkatsu and rolls, as well as trying some of the rolls that went around the belt. The price is reasonable, the staff is friendly, and the interior is nicely done. This place would be my go to place for sushi!

We have been coming here for years. This place went down hill after the renovation. We tried to come in tonight and waited for at least 10 min without any greeting. We walked out. Back when general was there he would greet everyone as they walked in thedoor and you would be seated within a minute. Unfortunately the sushi preparation is also subpar since the owner has no hand inthat. Won?t go back anymore. All the best. View menu

Delicious sushi and great service! I love the scallop roll. Yummy!Update May 2023: many things have changed here at Sumo since their renovation, but the quality of the sushi remains. A new, exciting feature is the addition of a conveyor belt that wraps around the sushi bar, allowing you to select rolls as they pass, and pay based on the color of the plate. They have also added an unlimited sushi lunch option for $19.99, which is very impressive and delicious! We will definitely be back many times!
